Teyonah Parris loves reading the wild theories fans come up with while watching WandaVisionMad Men alum Parris made her MCU debut on WandaVision as Monica Rambeau, the adult version of the young girl introduced in Captain Marvel. Now a captain herself, Monica is a SWORD agent who becomes involved with the Westview anomaly, aka the altered reality somehow caused by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). Over the course of WandaVision's first seven episodes, Monica has cemented herself as a key player in this story and has already begun to set up her role in 2022's Captain Marvel 2.

Even before WandaVision kicked off in mid-January, fans had questions about what exactly is going on. The Marvel show is partially a typical MCU adventure, but it's also a sitcom. This is seemingly because of Wanda's magic, which appears to have trapped the residents of Westview inside her own perfect reality. With each passing episode, fans have formed more and more theories about everything going on in WandaVision, from whether someone else besides Wanda is to blame to the significance behind the magical barrier's shape. No stone gets left unturned here.

Screen Rant recently had the opportunity to sit down with Parris and talk all things WandaVision. Among the points discussed was how Parris feels about seeing fans' responses to Monica, as well as whether a particular fan theory stuck out to her. While Parris didn't want to go into specifics for the theory part, she admitted she enjoys reading them, and that she's loved seeing the grown-up Monica flourish on the show. Parris said:

Teyonah Parris: It's been so fun to see grown-up Monica get launched into this world of WandaVision, and just seeing how the fans have been so kind and receptive. Which is definitely a huge shout out to the creatives, our director, our head writer, and our producers who have created this very fully-fledged, three-dimensional character. It's been really exciting to just watch grown-up Monica come into WandaVision.

The theories? I don't want to say which ones are crazy to me, because someone is gonna take that and say, "This is right or wrong." So, I'm not gonna speak on that. But I do love to read them. I think they're so interesting. That and the Easter eggs; some of this stuff is like, "Okay, that's comic number 242. And this is what happens in it." I'm like, "How do y'all know that?" So, it's really fun to see the Easter eggs and theories and all of that.

Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau in WandaVision

All Marvel projects tend to inspire countless theories and think-pieces from fans, but WandaVision feels like a special kind of beast. This is likely because so much of the premise remained a mystery before it premiered, and since it's a television show, information is arriving at a slower pace. Parris' fellow WandaVision co-star Paul Bettany has commented on his amazement at fan theories as well, showing just how big the conversation around the show has gotten. When even the stars are aware of what the fans are saying, that's a big deal.

With only two episodes left to go, the time for WandaVision theorizing is coming to a close. Soon, everything will be revealed, and audiences will know if they were right or wrong. Some major guesses have already been proven correct, such as the most recent WandaVision's major villain reveal. Others have yet to play out, but who knows what will happen? The theorizing has been part of the fun of watching WandaVision, and evidently, it's been enjoyable for the stars too.
