The latest WandaVision trailer teases the show's fake villain twist involving SWORD. Marvel Studios is finally kicking off its much-delayed Phase 4, though instead of it being on the big screen, it's launching on Disney+. Set after the events of the Infinity Saga, WandaVision reunites Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's star-crossed lovers, Scarlet Witch and Vision, respectively, who now find themselves living a seemingly perfect life as newly-weds. This ideal world, however, has a dark secret, as it may not be entirely real.

Following the release of WandaVision's second trailer during Disney's Investor Day in December 2020, a string of the TV spots have been rolled out, which include more footage. The latest one emphasizes the involvement of a mysterious beekeeper roaming around Wanda and Vision's new neighborhood. Given its nighttime setting, the face of the said figure cannot be seen, which further heightens the mystery around them. This has people convinced that this is the secret villain of the Disney+ show, but that's not exactly the case.

While the identity of the beekeeper is unknown, their jumpsuit has SWORD's logo on the back, hinting that they're an operative of Nick Fury's new organization. This means that while the teaser frames this person as the show's potential villain, chances are that they're not as previous trailers reveal that SWORD is working to get a hold of Wanda, presumably to save her from herself. This might be something that's clear to viewers, but not to Scarlet Witch, who lives in a happy bubble with Vision. The sudden existence of the beekeeper in the couple's neighborhood terrifies both of them, perhaps more so Wanda.

SWORD's presence in WandaVision could trigger her paranoia, making her more cautious and protective of the life she thinks she has with Vision, unknowing that they live in a fantastical world that she may have created as a means to cope with Vision's death in Avengers: Infinity War. Assuming this is the case, this pits Wanda and Vision against SWORD, making it more difficult for the organization to reach out to her, specifically, and prevent what could be the catastrophic warping of realities brought on by Scarlet Witch's actions (and powers).

Another snippet from the WandaVision trailer sees Scarlet Witch discovering a crashed red-and-yellow-colored helicopter figure in her front yard. At this point, the show is still in black-and-white, in accordance with the early days of TV when picture tubes could only broadcast monochromatic videos; given this, Wanda has an intrigued look on her face while examining the toy. Depending on the succession of events in WandaVision, this could further tip them off that there a threat is coming, further motivating them to protect the world they live in. It's worth noting that based on other footage, this was also the era in WandaVision where the visuals become colored - perhaps an idea Wanda got after spotting the toy.

The most popular theory suggests that the fantastical world that WandaVision is primarily set in is created by Wanda using her ability to warp reality. Since the show is directly connected to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's safe to assume that its events will have something to do with Marvel Studios' attempt to build their multiverse. It's clear that Wanda not in full control of the situation, hence why SWORD is trying to communicate with her. A previously-released teaser even floats the idea that someone is manipulating her to do this. Whatever the case may be, considering everything she's been through, it won't be easy to convince Wanda to give up the ideal life she's living with Vision.
