The first WandaVision actor other than Kathryn Hahn has been confirmed for the Agatha: Coven of Chaos spinoff series. In January 2021, WandaVision became the first Marvel Cinematic Universe series to air on Disney+, ushering in a new era for the franchise on the small screen. After the demise of Paul Bettany's Vision in Avengers: Infinity War, WandaVision finds Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff living in an alternate reality based on various decades of television sitcoms with Vision to help cope with his death.

In WandaVision, Hahn is introduced as the titular heroes' nosey neighbor, Agnes. It is later revealed that Hahn's character is the show's secret villain, Agatha Harkness, revealed by the catchy Emmy-nominated number "Agatha All Along." In October 2021, it was reported that Marvel Studios was developing a WandaVision spin-off centered around Agatha with head writer Jac Schaeffer returning. The series was eventually confirmed with the title Agatha: House of Harkness, though at SDCC 2022, the title was changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and the show was set for a Winter 2023 release date on Disney+.

Now, the first WandaVision actor other than Hahn has been confirmed for the spinoff. In a recent profile by Vanity Fair, Emma Caulfield Ford, who played Dottie in WandaVision, revealed she will be returning in Agatha: House of Harkness. During the interview, Caulfield Ford expressed her excitement about returning in the role.

What Dottie's Return Means For Agatha Harkness' Story In Coven Of Chaos

WandaVision episode 2 Dottie

Caulfield Ford made her MCU debut in WandaVision episode 2 as the seemingly sinister Dottie, another one of the titular heroes' neighbors and head of the planning committee. However, in reality, Dottie is simply a Westview resident named Sarah Proctor who becomes entrapped in Wanda's Hex which transforms the entire town into a sitcom. In this new reality, Sarah is assigned the identity of Dottie Jones, though her true persona is restored by Agatha towards the end of the series.

Nothing is known about the plot or setting of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, but considering that Caulfield Ford's return has been confirmed, she will likely be back as her true persona, Sarah Proctor, that was restored by Agatha, rather than her assigned identity of Dottie. This means Agatha: Coven of Chaos will likely take place following the events of WandaVision, and Sarah's presence could help the spinoff explore the lives of the Westview residents who suffered as a result of Wanda's Hex, in addition to Agatha who is now trapped in her Agnes persona. Fans will find out more as Agatha: Coven of Chaos gets closer to its Winter 2023 release date on Disney+.
