The WandaVision trailer's subtitles hint at the identity of Kathryn Hahn's mysterious character. Marvel's Disney+ slate has endured a few changes in recent months, largely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was initially planned to be the first Marvel show to debut on Disney+, but when the pandemic halted production, that was put into doubt. Now The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been delayed, and WandaVision has taken its place as the first MCU-set series to hit the streamer. This came as a huge relief for fans who have been worried they won't get any MCU content in 2020.

WandaVision will center on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Much of the show remains a mystery, though fans got some major plot hints with the release of WandaVision's first official trailer, which was unveiled just last night during the Primetime Emmys. In it, Wanda and Vision find themselves living the idyllic suburban life, but everything isn't quite what it seems. Vision's presence in the show is of particular interest because, as the trailer reminds viewers, he's supposed to be dead.

Hahn was announced to be a part of WandaVision at D23 last year in the role of "nosy neighbor," and fans have been eager to learn more about her part ever since. Marvel has so far kept things under wraps, but it turns out the WandaVision trailer holds a major hint. When one turns on the subtitles for the trailer, it's revealed Hahn's character is named Agnes. A Disney spokesperson says her full name hasn't been revealed yet.

As many have noted, Agnes is rather close to the name Agatha, or Agatha Harkness. In the comics, Agatha is Wanda's mentor, and fans have long speculated that Hahn is playing her in WandaVision. This new subtitle reveal looks to support that theory, even if the trailer itself keeps Hahn's role in the "nosy neighbor" capacity, save for her startling interaction with Vision. Clearly, Agnes is one of the many things that aren't quite what they appear to be within Vision and Wanda's world.

Even before it became the first Marvel show set for Disney+, WandaVision was easily the most intriguing of the bunch. In addition to the mystery of Vision's survival, the classic sitcom style has set WandaVision apart from every other Marvel project. Plus, by potentially featuring a female villain with Hahn, it might have something very few MCU films do. Anticipation for WandaVision is only bound to increase in the coming weeks, especially since it's still slated for the end of the year. After all this time, fans are finally getting some answers about this trippy series.
