WandaVision star Kat Dennings says she would do a Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff featuring Darcy Lewis and Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo in a heartbeat. As Marvel Studios’ first small-screen outing as part of Phase 4, WandaVision diverged from the norm with its sitcom format. It wasn’t until episode 4 that the series started to feel like a more traditional Marvel project, at which point Ant-Man and the Wasp’s Agent Jimmy Woo and the Thor franchise’s Darcy Lewis came into the fold.

Outside of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), Jimmy and Darcy’s dynamic was one of the series’ many triumphs. WandaVision’s fourth episode, Darcy was brought in by SWORD as a specialist to try and make sense of Westview and the Hex. Having not seen Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) deadpan assistant/political science student since 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, it was a pleasant surprise for many seeing the now Dr. Lewis team up with the FBI Agent and aspiring magician. Not only do fans hope to see more of these characters in the future but many have supported the idea of the duo getting an X-Files-esque spinoff series.

In a recent interview with PopCulture.com, Dennings talked about how surprised and excited she was to return to the MCU in such a unique project. When asked about fan interest in a Darcy/Jimmy spin-off, Dennings said she loves the idea but it’s up to Marvel Studios. Still, Dennings says, "I would do it in a heartbeat," if asked whether she would sign on for a show like that.

Dennings also talked about how she’s down to return as Darcy in any Marvel project. Chris Hemsworth and Portman recently wrapped filming on the fourth installment in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder, in which Dennings is not expected to appear. However, we’ll likely see Darcy again in something else. There’s a lack of focus on non-powered people in the MCU and WandaVision’s minor characters like Darcy and Jimmy not only teased their comedic potential but acted as a surrogate for the audience, speculating and theorizing about what’s going on in Westview. For this reason, WandaVision showrunner Jac Schaffer said she was determined to bring Darcy and Jimmy together from the very beginning.

Whether not or a WandaVision spinoff featuring Darcy and Jimmy comes to fruition remains to be seen but the pitch is out there. Regardless, Loki’s unraveling of the multiverse means there are plenty of places or, rather realities any number of characters could show up in. With so much multiversal madness in upcoming films like Spider-Man: No Way HomeDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, someone will need to investigate and provide scientific exposition for these anomalies.
