A new piece of WandaVision concept art depicts the Scarlet Witch fighting White Vision. WandaVision was Marvel's first streaming series to debut on Disney+. The series was a hit with fans and critics alike. In another Marvel first, WandaVision is one of the most Emmy-nominated series of 2021., garnering an impressive 23 nominations. The series explored the aftermath that Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame had on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) as she struggled to cope with Vision's (Paul Bettany) death.

Although it was eventually revealed in episode 8, "Previously On," that Wanda was the legendary Scarlet Witch, a being more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme, Wanda's "weakness" was her desire to live a normal life with Vision and her twin boys Billy (Julian Hilliard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne.)  S.W.O.R.D.'s acting director Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg) attempted to exploit Wanda's one weakness by creating a new, soulless White Vision from the original Vision's body. Lacking the memories of the original Vision, White Vision accepted the task to eliminate Wanda without question. Of course, Westview Vision stepped in to fight White Vision in order to defend Wanda.

A great piece of concept art from Marvel's Senior Visual Development artist Anthony Francisco imagines a fight between the Scarlet Witch and White Vision. While a Scarlet Witch/White Vision fight never actually happened in the series finale, the rendering of what could have been looks epic. Check out Francisco's excellent artwork below.

It's always fascinating learning the original concepts for WandaVision that ultimately didn't make the final cut. Although the artistically rendered White Vision versus Scarlet Witch fight looks really exciting, it makes sense that the aforementioned face-off happened in episode 9, "The Series Finale." Westview Vision facing off against White Vision by debating the philosophical question of the Ship of Theseus was definitely in character for the two Vision's.

It also made sense for the battle of two Visions to occur so Westview Vision could restore Vision's memories to White Vision, because only one of them could exist outside of the Westview hex. Always thinking of Wanda's happiness first, Westview Vision peacefully accepted his fate after his encounter with White Vision, saying goodbye to Wanda once again. White Vision's fate was left unresolved in the WandaVision series finale, as he was shown flying away after his memories were restored and before Wanda truly became the Scarlet Witch. Although there's no official confirmation on White Vision's return, it's hard to imagine Marvel not bringing him back in a future MCU project.

WandaVision demonstrated the incredible loving bond that Wanda shared with Vision. Right now it's unclear how White Vision would react to her should the two ever come face to face in the future. However, the potential plot possibilities of their reunion are exciting to imagine. After all, Wanda's story as the Scarlet Witch is really just beginning.
