WandaVision concept art shows an alternate version of Scarlet Witch's costume. Disney+'s first original MCU series served partly as a meditation on Wanda Maximoff's grief and partly as a belated origin story. The origin of Wanda's powers was laid bare in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but WandaVision retconned this in a way, revealing that Wanda has always had her powers since she was born. The experiments performed on her in Age of Ultron only served to amplify those powers.

Wanda's enemy and the person most curious about her powers in WandaVision was none other than Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn). Agatha was drawn to Westview, New Jersey because of the Hex Wanda built. Curious to find out just how powerful Wanda truly was, Agatha put her to the test and took her through some of her most traumatic memories. When she discovers that Wanda is using Chaos Magic to create the Hex, she designates Wanda the Scarlet Witch, one of the most powerful beings in the universe.

Wanda seems to fully embrace this by the end of WandaVision's run, taking on the mantle of Scarlet Witch and get a new costume out of it, too. One iteration of that costume has been revealed by concept artist Andy Park who shared what he has dubbed the "Red Riding Hood" look. In the piece, Wanda is wearing a hooded cape over the outfit she ends up in during "The Series Finale" and it certainly does evoke that classic fairytale. Check out the piece below:

Wanda's evolution in WandaVision helped her become arguably one of the most popular characters in the MCU. Once relegated to the sidelines, fans are now eagerly awaiting the next appearance from Elizabeth Olsen's powerful sorceress. Wanda is already slated to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but fans have speculated that she could possibly show in Spider-Man: No Way Home because of its apparent connection to the Doctor Strange sequel. Stephen Strange is set to step in as Peter Parker's mentor in the upcoming threequel and fans have unofficially dubbed this trio of WandaVisionSpider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange 2 the Multiverse Trilogy.

One thing is certain, though. Scarlet Witch will return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it could have big implications for the MCU. By the time that film rolls around, Wanda will have had plenty of time to fully study the Darkhold and she may even be on the hunt for her children, Billy and Tommy. What that means for Stephen Strange remains unclear, but fans hoping for a clue from WandaVision were left hanging. Still, the series did one thing right and that's position Scarlet Witch as a force to be reckoned with.
