WandaVision won't be released on Disney+ in November as some fans had hoped. Marvel Studios originally announced the solo series for Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) with a 2021 release date, but it wasn't long before it was moved up to 2020. After the recent release of the first WandaVision trailer, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have only become more eager to see what the series will hold.

Despite the rising interest in WandaVision, Disney has refused to announce an official release date. Former CEO Bob Iger said at the beginning of the year that it would come out in December, but that was before the coronavirus pandemic led to a work stoppage. Fans remained hopeful that a December 2020 release was possible, and the Disney+ landing page listed that date for a time. After it was updated to say "Coming Soon to Disney+," a date in the page's coding indicated that a late November release might be possible. However, that doesn't appear to be the case.

The official Twitter account for Disney+ released a new video recently showcasing all of the new content coming to the streaming service in November and WandaVision was not listed on it. The promo featured footage for The Mandalorian season 2, the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, an original movie Black Beauty, and much more. If WandaVision was going to be released on Disney+ at the end of November, it appears this would've been when Disney would announce it.

The momentary hope of WandaVision coming to Disney+ in November might be over, but it is still expected that the series will arrive by the end of 2020. Recent set photos showed that production is still taking place, so that could be one of the reasons why Disney and Marvel have yet to give WandaVision an official release date. After already delaying so much of Phase 4, the last thing they need is to announce a release date for WandaVision and then have to delay it. The safer play is to wait until they know the show is done and are fully confident it can be released whenever it is needed.

With WandaVision now expected to come out in December, it will be interesting to see when exactly it is released. There will be new episodes of The Mandalorian season 2 released every Friday before Christmas. If Disney doesn't want The Mandalorian and WandaVision competing for attention, then MCU fans might have to wait until Christmas day or the week after to see the first episode of a Marvel Disney+ show.
