Fans' first look at Monica Rambeau's Spectrum costume has been revealed in new WandaVision merchandise. Starting on January 15, WandaVision will become the first scripted Marvel show to debut on Disney+, and there's already a great deal of anticipation surrounding it. The series will pick up with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) following the events of Avengers: Endgame as they settle into the perfect domestic life, courtesy of Wanda's reality-bending powers. However, it isn't long before the cracks in their idyllic façade begin to show, particularly since Vision is technically still dead.

Like most Marvel projects, much of WandaVision remains shrouded in secrecy. This even extends to its supporting cast, as while fans know who will be involved, they don't quite know what they will be doing. Familiar faces from the MCU making reappearances include Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), and Kathryn Hahn joins the franchise as nosy neighbor Agnes who might be more nefarious than she seems. Perhaps most excitingly, Teyonah Parris will play an adult Monica Rambeau, who was first seen as a young girl in 2019's Captain Marvel.

Up until now, very little of Monica's WandaVision look has been revealed, but thanks to some merchandise, her Spectrum costume design has been unveiled. Monogram Products sells a set of 3D foam bag clips, most of which show varying costumes for Wanda and Vision. When Monica first appeared in Captain Marvel, it seemed certain that she had a bigger destiny within the MCU, and WandaVision looks to be the very beginning of it. Monica was glimpsed in the first WandaVision trailer being blasted out of Wanda's carefully constructed suburban bubble, leading some to believe this incident gives her powers. Spectrum's comics abilities including controlling and transforming energy, and it'll be interesting to see if WandaVision makes any alterations.

With WandaVision drawing steadily closer, more details should be revealed in the coming weeks as Disney+ continues to hype up the eagerly-awaited series. Presumably, a second trailer will be released soon, and it might provide another look at Monica. It seems unlikely though that it'll show her as Spectrum; most likely, Marvel will want to keep that under wraps until WandaVision premieres. Regardless, fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to WandaVision, so it's a good thing they won't have to wait too much longer to see it.
