Marvel’s Disney+ shows all look to be exciting ways to further explore the MCU. One of the most intriguing of the bunch is definitely WandaVision. Wanda and Vision made for one of the most fascinating couples in the MCU and given the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it will be exciting to see how their relationship continues.

Obviously, we have a lot of questions about the upcoming series, including what threat these two heroes will face. Will we see a familiar bad guy from the MCU return or will they introduce a totally new character? Here are some of the villains we’d like to see in WandaVision and some we'd rather not.

Want: Vision

There is a sense that the show will explore the ramifications of Wanda attempting to bring Vision back. That could certainly be an interesting take and could set Vision up to be the unlikely villain of the story. He was initially created for villainous purposes, so maybe it’s time he embraces his dark side.

We could see Wanda trying to recreate Vision only for things to go horribly wrong. It could also be that Wanda plays with reality and loses control. However it might be done, an evil Vision would be thrilling to see.

Don't Want: Ultron

Ultron MCU

Ultron seems like a pretty obvious choice as a villain for this show, as he was directly linked to both Wanda and Vision. Ultron felt a kinship with Wanda, but was responsible for her brother’s death. He also built Vision as the final stage of his evolution. However, the character just isn’t an exciting choice for the show.

The depiction of Ultron in the MCU has been controversial, as some found him too quippy. Add to that the fact that he is a robot hellbent on taking over the world and he seems like too much for this more intimate show.

Want: Jocasta

Jocasta - Ant-Man 2 Villains

Though revisiting Ultron as a villain isn't of particular interest, there is a villain that could be used who is still linked to Vision's creation. Jocasta was another android in the comics who was also created by Ultron as a potential mate for himself. Though she does eventually become a good guy, Jocasta was a villain long enough that she could be utilized in the series.

Given that the show is meant to be a classic sitcom-style story with a dark twist, Jocasta could be an evil addition that gets between Wanda and Vision. It might seem silly, but they could have some fun with the idea.

Don't Want: Loki

Tom Hiddleston as Loki in Avengers: Endgame

Loki is the first great villain the MCU delivered and they really seem to have a hard time saying goodbye to him. After multiple fake deaths, he finally died in Avengers: Infinity War, to escape with the Tesseract in another timeline...just in time for his solo series.

With Loki out there somewhere in other timelines or realities, he could pop up in this show. But with his own series coming, having him be the antagonist on Wandavision seems kind of boring. It would be much more interesting to see what he can do on his own.

Want: M.O.D.O.K.

MODOK of Marvel Comics

Of all the Marvel villains who have yet to make it on the big screen, M.O.D.O.K. is one of the most popular. The grotesque floating head is an evil genius who usually goes up against Captain America. He’s not yet made an appearance in the MCU, probably because of how weird he is. But a show about a witch who is in love with an android might just be weird enough for M.O.D.O.K. to make his debut.

Given the trippy nature Wandavision seems to be going for, surely they can come up with some explanation for a giant evil head as the antagonist.

Don't Want: Kang The Conqueror

Marvel's Kang The conqueror

Kang the Conqueror is a villain that seems destined to join the MCU before too long. The time-traveling warrior has taken on the Avengers many times in the comics. But in some storylines, he has also successfully possessed Scarlet Witch. Given that fact and his time-traveling abilities, he seems like a good fit for the show.

The only problem with Kang as a villain for WandaVision is that he is too big. He is the kind of threat the whole team would need to take on. To explain his backstory and what he is up to would take up a sizable chunk of time on the show.

Want: Nightmare

An image of Nightmare sitting in the chair in the Marvel Comics

Unlike the Marvel Netflix shows that came before, the new Disney+ shows promise to directly link to the MCU. One of the most exciting confirmations of this fact is that WandaVision will lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with Scarlet Witch appearing in the sequel. This opens the possibility that the villainous Nightmare could appear in WandaVision.

Nightmare is the ruler of the Dream Dimension. He has been rumored to be the sequel’s villain for sometime, especially given the horror elements the show will explore. Nightmare could be introduced in WandaVision and he could be responsible for seemingly bringing Vision back.

Don't Want: Thanos

Thanos Avengers Endgame

In many ways, Thanos is the villain responsible for this entire series. He is the one who killed Vision and sent Wanda on this quest to bring him back. Though Thanos died (a couple times) in Avengers: Endgame, there's a real possibility that time-travel could play a role in this story.

While it is possible that he could return, it's best to leave him dead. For one, Thanos just took on every single Avenger in the biggest movie of all time. It would be weird to see him pop up in this show. Also, as great a villain as he was, overusing him could diminish his legacy.

Want: Scarlet Witch

Just like Vision, Scarlet Witch was introduced in the MCU as a villain. Along with her brother Quicksilver, Wanda was so determined to get revenge on Tony Stark that she was willing to side with Ultron. Though she has proven herself to be a hero many times, there is potential for her to return to her darker ways as she sometimes does in the comics.

We see in Avengers: Endgame that Wanda is filled with rage over Vision's death. Maybe that rage pushes her over the edge and she is willing to do some shady things to bring him back. This could set her up as the villain for Doctor Strange.

Don't Want: Magneto

Magneto, enemy and onetime leader of the X-Men

Casual fans of the MCU might be surprised to learn that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are in fact the children of Magneto. This was somewhat explored in the X-Men films, but with Magneto owned by Fox, it was obviously never mentioned in the MCU. With the X-Men now coming to the MCU, this is a possibility, but it feels a little late to introduce that element.

The X-Men universe is filled with all kinds of strange familial relations that can really get confusing. Suddenly introducing Magneto as Wanda's father would really complicate things. Besides, such an important character should not be introduced as a side character on a show.
