The weekly episodic style of WandaVision allowed fans to do something that a whole season released at once cannot replicate - fan predictions and theories. Since the premiere of WandaVision, viewers analyzed scenes from each episode to uncover possible predictions that could happen by the series' conclusion. These predictions added to the excitement about the series as fans bonded together to await the newest episode.

Despite how creative and determined some fans were about their predictions, they were shockingly wrong with several of them. Although there were hundreds of incorrect predictions, fans do deserve some credit for predicting a few of them right.

Right: The Stranger's Hands From Episode 1 Was Darcy Lewis

Kat Dennings as Darcy in WandaVision

As Wanda and Vision lived their life in 1950s Westview, the first episode ended with Wanda and Vision looking into the camera, which then the screen zoomed out to what is the real-world with a stranger's hand holding onto a remote control.

Instantly, fans made guesses on who was the stranger holding the remote, with the majority consensus that it was Darcy Lewis. People already knew that Kat Dennings was returning as Darcy Lewis in WandaVision. Therefore, Darcy seemed the most plausible choice. Luckily, this prediction was one of the times fans were right in episode 4," We Interrupt This Program," as Darcy was the person who discovered the sitcom set in the Hex.

Wrong: Doctor Strange Would Make A Cameo

Several fans believed that Doctor Strange would make a surprise cameo in the series. One reason is that Marvel Studios confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen is reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This confirmation heightened the fan's confidence that a Doctor Strange appearance was inevitable, and he could potentially help Wanda undo the mess in Westview.

Unfortunately, fans were far from being right as Doctor Strange never showed up. Furthermore, the fan's hopes of seeing a duo between Doctor Strange and now Scarlet Witch would have to wait for at least another whole year.

Right: The Return Of "Pietro" With The X-Men Version (Partially Correct)

Pietro arrives in West View in WandaVision

As each episode grew more interesting, fans made several predictions on the "Luke Skywalker" level cameo on the series. While characters like Doctor Strange and Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver were popular choices, some fans predicted Evan Peters's Quicksilver as a wildcard guess.

In the conclusion of the fifth episode, a doorbell rang as tension grew between Wanda and Vision. Evan Peters's Quicksilver appeared, asking for a hug from his sister. Therefore, viewers were confused and excited about his appearance and a possible X-Men canon in the MCU. However, this prediction is not 100% correct. The finale revealed that this fake Pietro was simply Ralph Bohner, a resident of Westview. Nevertheless, this wildcard prediction is one to give credit to fans for being somewhat right.

Wrong: Reed Richards Is The Contact

WandaVision Monica and Reed Richards

After Monica Rambeau was kicked out of the Hex by Wanda, Rambeau wanted to figure out how Wanda created the Hex and save the people of Westview without antagonizing Wanda. Throughout the fourth and fifth episodes, Rambeau hinted about a contact who specialized in aerospace engineering and was able to help her, Agent Woo, and Darcy with their mission.

With these hints, fans turned to Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic as the contact since he has a specialty in aerospace engineer. Furthermore, his appearance could set the course of the Fantastic Four to enter the MCU. Other fans predicted candidates like Blue Marvel and Sue Storm. This prediction soon rose into major theories among fans and became growing anticipation to see who was correct. Unfortunately, almost everyone was wrong. The aerospace engineer was simply an honest and loyal SWORD agent, Major Goodner.

Right: Wanda Gives Up Her Family

Wanda, Vision, and their twins prepare to fight in WandaVision

In the eighth episode, viewers learned that Wanda never stole Vision's body, and she created Vision and the Hex out of grief. Fans speculated that Wanda was going to make a decisive decision. They knew that all good things that were making Wanda happy were going to end if it meant saving the people of Westview. The only way to fix this mess would require breaking the Hex, which means losing Vision again, and her twins.

Although fans want to see Wanda happy, given her long tragic history, there was no other option. In the finale, Wanda broke the Hex and shared a heartbreaking goodbye to her twins and Vision.

Wrong: Mephisto Is The Main Villain

WandaVision every Mephisto reference explained

Since the show's villain was kept hidden, viewers made several predictions on who it could be. Once Evan Peters appeared as Quicksilver, many people tried to explain his existence in the MCU. This puzzle led to the fan's prediction that Mephisto was the show's hidden villain. He had powers that fit the descriptions of manipulation and illusions and could explain other mysteries like Wanda's pregnancy and the Hex.

However, fans became too comfortable and overconfident about this theory as Mephisto never made an appearance at all. Wanda created the twins and started the Hex out of grief, and the X-Men Quicksilver was just a random resident of Westview named Ralph, controlled by Agatha. Fans were wrong and nowhere close with this prediction.

Right: Agnes Is Agatha Harkness And The Show's Villain

Although one villain theory was wrong, fans got one right. It was Agatha all along. From the first episode, the show introduced Westview resident Agnes, who became a friend to Wanda Maximoff. However, several fans had a gut feeling that Agnes is Agatha Harkness, a witch who once tutored Scarlet Witch in the comics.

Agnes became a support network for Wanda and helped her to fit in with society. However, her good acts were only just a pawn to trap Wanda and steal her powers. Fans were glad to see one prediction came to light as this theory was one of the obvious ones.

Wrong: Agatha Or Mephisto Trapped Wanda & The People Of Westview In A Sitcom

Agatha and Mephisto

As the show progressed, fans remained curious about the show's sitcom premise and its relation to Wanda and Vision. The most convincing fan theory was that Agatha or Mephisto were manipulating the setting of Westview in an attempt to absorb Wanda's powers.

Unfortunately, the first part of the theory was wrong. By episode 8, viewers learned that Wanda created the Hex because she was under immense grief. Furthermore, Wanda wanted to live a sitcom life because she grew up watching old sitcoms with her family. Despite fans being wrong again, they were partially right about one thing; Agatha did want Wanda's power.

Right: Monica Rambeau Becomes Photon

Monica Rambeau's eyes light up as she powers up

After Monica Rambeau made her first appearance as a kid in Captain Marvel, fans saw a grown-up Rambeau in WandaVision. Her appearance meant that she was more than just a SWORD agent, which meant she was destined for something greater.

Fans instantly had a feeling that Rambeu's comic book persona as Photon was soon to unleash sometime during the series. After getting sucked into the Hex and then kicked out, her bloodwork showed some anomalies, making the Photon theory believable. By the seventh episode, as Rambeau re-entered the Hex, viewers saw her eyes glow blue and exhibited a few powers that resembled Photon. Although she has not fully embodied Photon yet, this prediction is a win for fans.

Wrong: Wanda Opens The Multiverse

Wandavision mysterio multiverse spiderman far from home

Since the mention of the multiverse in Far From Home, fans assumed a potential multiverse storyline would happen in Phase Four. With Black Widow delayed, it seemed perfect that WandaVision would kickstart the newest phase for MCU with a possibility of the multiverse unleashed. Considering the show started with Vision miraculously alive, it implied that Wanda was growing powerful and finally reached a point where she cracked the multiverse.

Despite all the hints that deemed this theory almost inevitable, it ended up being surprisingly wrong. Although Wanda could still be responsible for creating the multiverse, it, unfortunately, did not happen during the events of WandaVision.
