New WandaVision posters hint at the show's sitcom influences and the increasingly fragile state of its character's reality. The show's sitcom influences are already widely known; it will draw from shows like I Love LucyLeave It To Beaverand The Brady Bunch. The sitcom aspect is said to tie into the fragile state of Wanda and Vision's connection to reality. How much that reality will bend is up to speculation.

WandaVision will begin streaming on Disney+ in January. The move is a reversal from the studio's original plans. Initially, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would be the first Marvel Disney+ show to hit the streamer. The coronavirus pandemic forced them to alter those plans, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and other Marvel shows hitting the platform after WandaVision. As Disney gears up for the show to hit the platform next month, they've begun releasing a series of posters in anticipation.

The posters have hit the WandaVision Twitter account over the last few days. Each poster features a television set, similar to the teaser video with the release date. Each television has different images of Vision and Wanda and seems to hint at the different eras of sitcoms the show is said to reference. In the upper left-hand corner of the posters, wallpaper appears to be tearing to reveal the facade behind the set-up. Check out the posters below:

The account has released one poster each day, indicating an ongoing trend. Marvel could be gearing up to release a full-length trailer ahead of the show's release. The posters also seem to hint at a timeline of sorts (at least as far as the various TV eras it covers) one that will end up in the modern-day. With WandaVision also having an Office-inspired episode, the show will be catching up to the modern era at some point.

One way to show the increasing break with reality—and the subsequent meltdown to follow—could be through this linear trajectory. As the show cycles through its older influences and reaches the modern-day, Wanda could realize the facade behind the sitcom setup and ultimately break free from this false reality. What exactly happens when she breaks free is up for debate; some think the show is hinting at a House of M adaptation, which could lead to a genuinely tragic story arc for Wanda. With a little over a month to go, Disney seems to be teasing something is coming besides the show, and the rollout for WandaVision is sure to pick up speed over the coming weeks.
