A new video purports that Scarlet Witch opened the Multiverse during the finales of Loki and WandaVision, as both episodes sync up perfectly. Last week's Loki season finale seemed to break the Multiverse wide open thanks to Sylvie's killing of He Who Remains AKA Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors' character gave the pair of Loki's a choice - kill him and destroy the Sacred Timeline or take over as the heads of the Time Variance Authority and prevent more Kang Variants from wreaking havoc in the MCU. Sylvie was unable to resist completing her quest for revenge, killing He Who Remains and sending Loki to an alternate TVA.

Conversely, Elizabeth Olsen's Disney+ series was the first of Marvel's to debut on the streamer, telling a story about Wanda Maximoff's grief through the lens of classic sitcoms. This all culminated in her evolution into the Scarlet Witch, harnessing Chaos Magic and defeating Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness. Audiences expected from WandaVision what Loki's finale ultimately delivered - the opening of the Multiverse and the introduction of a MCU-traversing villain, but a new video indicates that the final episode in the MCU's first series may have had more of an impact than meets the eye.

A Youtube user by the name of Batman posted a video juxtaposing the moment Wanda defeats Agatha with a moment in Loki's finale during the tense conversation with He Who Remains. As Wanda turns into the Scarlet Witch after sucking Agatha's life force out of her body, He Who Remains can be seen looking around, almost as if he hears Agatha's cries. "We just crossed the threshold," Majors' character says as Wanda is revealed in her Scarlet Witch outfit. When Wanda uses a bit of Chaos Magic in her hand, thunder can be heard in Loki. Finally, as Agatha falls to the ground, He Who Remains drops some sort of figure onto his desk at the same time. Check out the full video below:

While this seems like mere coincidence at first, it is worth nothing that not only do the episodes sync up perfectly when overlaid like in the video, but the timecodes in the episodes also match up exactly. This connection paints a larger picture that not only indicates that the Multiverse has been opened, but that Wanda's transformation into Scarlet Witch played a key part in opening that door. With WandaVision's post-credits scene hinting at the door being open after she hears her children crying out for her, Scarlet Witch's appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness takes on even more meaning.

With Loki also set to appear in Doctor Strange 2, that connection may become apparent come early 2022 when the film is released. First, though, Spider-Man: No Way Home will begin to show the cracks in the Multiverse and Doctor Strange will have his own reckoning with the breaking of the Sacred Timeline. While audiences may have been a little disappointed in the WandaVision finale, the Loki finale certainly gives the episode added context and with nothing being coincidence in the MCU, it seems more than likely that this video may have uncovered a very important layer to the ongoing mysteries of the franchise.
