Former Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director, Scott Derrickson, hypes WandaVision with apparent inside information. Derrickson was the director on the sequel to Doctor Strange, which was being called the first horror movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately for fans of horror, Derrickson stepped down as director due to creative differences with Disney.

Scarlet Witch will have a main role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but she is also getting her own Disney+ series, which will be available to stream later this year. WandaVision was confirmed last April and will take place after the events of Avengers: EndgameWandaVision has mostly remained a mystery given the timeline and because Vision appears to be back from the dead. Fans will get to see The Falcon and the Winter Soldier before WandaVision, but Scarlet Witch's upcoming series is one of Disney+'s most anticipated releases. Now, Derrickson is also getting fans excited for WandaVision.

Recently on Twitter, Derrickson hyped fans for the release of WandaVision. In his post, Derrickson commented, "WandaVision is gonna be great. #InsideInformation." The director's full tweet can be read below.

Fans haven't gotten a lot of information on WandaVision thus far, but the Disney+ Super Bowl ad gave fans the best look yet. The Big Game spot seemingly shows Wanda in several different time periods, one of which looks like a 1950s sitcom. Another quick shot in the commercial teases Wanda's twins (Wiccan and Speed), who eventually grow up to become members of the Young Avengers. Despite the ad only being 30 seconds long, it has a lot of reveals that point to the theory that the show takes place in multiple different realities.

Even though Derrickson and Marvel have parted ways, it's nice to know that the director doesn't seem to have any harsh feelings towards the company's other projects. It was revealed at last year's San Diego Comic-Con that WandaVision would lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse. This means that Derrickson probably has a good idea about what is going on in the Disney+ show, which is likely what he means by #InsideInformation. Derrickson may no longer be involved with the MCU, except an executive producer credit on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but his opinion on WandaVision is still worth something. WandaVision will be available to stream on Disney+ at some point this year.
