Encanto's catchiest song gets a WandaVision twist in a fun TikTok. One year ago, Marvel entered a new television era with WandaVision, its first series made for Disney+. The show picked up with Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Vision (Paul Bettany) in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame as they settle into an idyllic life in the sitcom-ready town of Westview. That's a perfect premise for the MCU's oddest couple, but it is also a fiction, as Vision died in Avengers: Infinity War. WandaVision's 9-episode season was then spent unravelling the truth behind Westview.

As fans now know, having watched all of WandaVision, it was Wanda's immense grief that pulled Westview into the sitcom of her life. She accidentally unleashed a powerful wave of her chaos magic and put every inhabitant under her thrall. This has seemingly positioned Scarlet Witch to become a potential villain in the future, though her motivations aren't as terrible as outsiders may think it is. In a way, her arc holds some similarities to Encanto's Bruno, a person ostracized because of his misunderstood power.

Encanto, the newest animated movie released by Disney, even devotes an entire song to how Bruno's family has avoided addressing his abilities and disappearance. "We Don't Talk About Bruno" has quickly become one of the most popular songs to emerge from the movie, and a WandaVision fan had fun putting their own spin on it. In a TikTok posted by jen-marie, Bruno's song becomes "We Don't Talk About Wanda," with characters like Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) giving their perspective on Wanda's strange actions. Even with a new subject, the song is still incredibly catchy.

An evil looking Bruno in Encanto

Disney's Encanto was released in theaters last November, but its popularity online skyrocketed following its debut on Disney+ in late December. The film tells the story of the Madrigal family and their magical house, which has, for generations, bestowed each member with a special ability. The only person to not get a power is 15-year-old Mirabel, much to her and her family's disappointment. However, when the house starts to lose its magic, it might be that Mirabel is the only person who can save the day.

For the most part, Encanto and WandaVision have nothing in common, but the mashup in the TikTok is pitch perfect. Bruno might be a bit more sympathetic than Wanda, yet both of them have powers that are easily misunderstood by others. Therefore, it's not that crazy to imagine the supporting characters of WandaVision looking at the Westview incident in a way reminiscent of "We Don't Talk About Bruno." This TikTok is a great example of how fans can combine projects in surprising - and amazing - ways, and we would happily see more of it.
