WandaVision showrunner Jac Schaeffer promises all of the clues tucked within the show will make sense once it's over. Marvel's latest batch of television shows have been highly anticipated for some time now, and it's fitting that the strangest of them all is the first to arrive. Starring Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision, WandaVision is unlike anything Marvel has produced yet, with its sitcom style and decade-hopping action. Scarlet Witch and Vision have settled down together in the town of Westview, but something is very, very wrong with their surroundings.
Over the course of the first several episodes, fans have worked to piece together the biggest mysteries found in WandaVision. For example, who created Westview? And just how is Vision alive after dying (twice!) in Avengers: Infinity War? Each episode of WandaVision has provided more clues about what's really going on, but with several more installments to go, anything could happen. And while the series will surely answer all of fans' questions by the end of its nine-episode run, it sounds like there will be more surprises even when all the episodes have aired.
Screen Rant recently had the opportunity to speak to WandaVision's showrunner Jac Schaeffer about what's to come on the Marvel series. When asked if there are any blatant Easter eggs she's noticed fans have missed, Schaeffer said that while there are things people haven't spotted, she never expected them to. However, once the show is over, it will all make sense. Schaeffer said:
Jac Schaeffer: It's not so much that they're easter eggs that fans haven't caught; they're just things that really wouldn't be possible for people to predict. But once things come to light, you'll be able to trace the through lines back.
It's very clear Schaeffer approached WandaVision's story with a methodical eye, setting up details that might seem minor but are quite significant. In that sense, WandaVision sounds like a show that might even be more impressive upon rewatching. Undoubtedly, it's fun watching everything unfold with new eyes, but the full picture will likely enhance the show. Fans should get a kick out of binging WandaVision once all episodes are available and picking up all the little clues Schaeffer left behind.
WandaVision won't wrap up until the very start of March, so fans still have a ways to go before the complete story is revealed. While it feels like a long time from now, each episode so far has given fans more and more things to discuss, so it certainly won't be a boring ride. In fact, Schaeffer previously said every episode coming up in WandaVision has something exciting. As the season goes on, expect a lot more clues to emerge as the series gradually ramps up to its endgame. Then plan a rewatch to see what was missed.
WandaVision continues Fridays on Disney+.
