WandaVision will recreate the iconic opening sequence from the 1970s sitcom The Brady BunchThat opening sequence sees the blended Brady family in a montage of all the characters before they come together in the end, each character framed in their own square. Eventually, they see each other in their respective squares, breaking the fourth wall and waving to their family members. The sequence is a cute way to introduce the entire cast of characters fans came to know and love.

WandaVision's sitcom influences have been a huge point of discussion for the show. Leading up to its premiere, Disney has steadily teased these influences and their trajectory. Beginning with classic sitcoms from the '60s and '70s, the show will make its way to sitcoms of the early aughts, including The Office and Modern Family. The show has teased its own twist on these influences, though, with star Elizabeth Olsen teasing that the show turns into The Twilight Zone by the end of its run.

Before WandaVision goes full Twilight Zone, though, it will delve into other, normal influences. One of those, Olsen revealed, will be The Brady Bunch. Olsen told TV Guide that the show will recreate the iconic opening sequence in "a big montage." Presumably, the montage will highlight all the key players involved in the show. Olsen didn't reveal much more beyond that, but she essentially confirmed that The Brady Bunch's influence will be heavily felt throughout the show.

While the opening sequence of The Brady Bunch is known for its cutesy three-by-three grid wherein the family sees each other in their own squares, that show sequence is played for laughs. WandaVision could add another dimension to it, though. We already know about Wanda's fragile mental state going into the show and one can't help but imagine that, in breaking the fourth wall in the montage, the cracks in Wanda's reality that she has constructed for herself will begin to show.

There's no way of knowing what exactly the montage Olsen talks about will entail. It could be just a simple re-creation of the opening sequence. However, Marvel will likely put their own twist on it to up the stakes. WandaVision is set to bring back the MCU in a big way. After a 2020 with no releases, the show will kick off a big year for Marvel Studios, filled with television series and movies that will give fans a hint as to what's to come for the future of the MCU. WandaVision may be looking to the past for inspiration, but it's clear that the show will be big for the MCU's future.
