The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 has a new trailer that teases the return of Jadis, who hasn't been seen since season 9 of The Walking Dead in 2018. World Beyond, which premieres its second and final season on October 3, is set ten years after the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. It depicts the adventures of the first group of young people to grow up in a post-Walker world.

This season, The Walking Dead: World Beyond will continue the story of Iris (Aliyah Royale), Hope (Alexa Mansour), Elton (Nicolas Cantu), and Silas (Hal Cumpston). As their journey continues, they will discover the devastating fate of the Campus Colony. Then the quartet must face off against the mysterious Civic Republic Military, a group that is fiercely dedicated to finding a cure for the zombie virus, at any cost. The show also stars Nico Tortorella, Joe Holt, Jelani Alladin, Natalie Gold, and Ted Sutherland (who was just featured in the second part of the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix).

On the Walking Dead YouTube channel, the new trailer for season 2 has just dropped. "We are all we have," insists Hope, before a montage of gory Walker destruction. From the looks of things, this season will be full of shifting alliances, false promises, and a deadly secret behind the nature of the Walkers. In addition to setting up the storylines promised by the season 1 finale, the trailer has teased the return of Jadis, a major figure from the original Walking Dead series. Watch the trailer here:

It's looking like the Civic Republic Military won't be the only challenge these young heroes have to face this season. Jadis, as portrayed by Scottish actress Pollyanna McIntosh, has a very complicated past in the main storyline of The Walking Dead. She was the leader of the Scavengers, a group that waged a fierce and bloody battle against the survivor network known as the Saviors. She eventually redeemed herself as a colony member when she saved a wounded Rick toward the beginning of season 9.

Although she has paid her penance and earned her redemption on The Walking Dead, this trailer makes it look like she may be up to her old tricks all these years later. She is working with the Civic Republic to "create a new era on this planet," which doesn't sound particularly good-hearted. Season 2 of The Walking Dead: World Beyond only has 10 episodes to wrap up this story, so it's going to be a pressure cooker. Having Jadis around will certainly keep everyone on their toes because with her comes chaos.
