A new The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 clip shows Iris learning the Campus Colony's fate. Set ten years after the zombie apocalypse outbreak, World Beyond is the second spin-off series to spawn from AMC's The Walking Dead. The series focuses on a group of teenage survivors who have grown up in a sheltered community during the apocalypse. Unlike the other shows in the franchise, World Beyond tells more of a coming-of-age story, as the young survivors must quickly gain experience in the dangerous world of zombies, or "Empties." The series premiered back in October 2020 and was announced to only consist of two seasons, with the second and final season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond set to premiere in October of this year.

Season 1 followed adopted sisters Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Hope (Alexa Mansour as they receive a message from their scientist father who may be in danger at a facility led by the mysterious Civic Republic Military, or CRM. With a coded map and the help of some friends, the sisters set out on a journey beyond the walls to try to save their father. Over the course of the season, the characters learned shocking truths about the world beyond their sheltered community and each other. Many secrets were revealed at the end of season 1, including the reveal that Hope and Iris' father did not send out the message about being in danger, and Hope finds out what the mysterious Civic Republic Military wants with someone like her. Season 2 will conclude the story of these characters as they face off against the mysterious CRM.

In a new first-look clip of season 2, Iris and Felix (Nico Tortorella) learn some shocking news about their former home. Will (Jelani Alladin) tells them that their home, the Campus Colony at the University of Nebraska, has been destroyed. The full clip can be seen below:

The second and final season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere on October 3 on AMC, with new episodes premiering early on AMC+. The series will join a number of other shows from The Walking Dead universe on AMC+ this year. Origins is the latest from The Walking Dead Universe on AMC+, along with Episode Diaries from both Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, Chris Hardwick's after-show talk show, Talking Dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton Morgan's Friday Night in With the Morgans, and more.

With one season down and only one more season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond to go, the series still has many questions to answer and many characters to reunite. While The Walking Dead: World Beyond was always intended to end after only two seasons, it seems like there is a lot more left for the characters to face over the next season. It will be interesting to see what happens next now that Iris knows the shocking news about the Campus Colony. Fans will soon find out the answers to their many questions from season 1 and will see more of Iris and Hope attempting to free their dad.
