Walking Dead TV Shows & Preacher Confirmed for Comic-Con 2017

The Walking Dead, its spin-off Fear the Walking Dead, Preacher and new docuseries Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics will be featured at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2017. The annual multi-genre entertainment and comic convention will be held from July 20 to July 23 at the San Diego Convention Center and will also be featuring exciting panels joining the AMC series including Game of Thrones (HBO), Westworld (HBO), Legion (FX) and The Gifted (FOX).

The zombie horror/post-apocalyptic series, The Walking Dead, just finished airing its successful seventh season with the first half focusing on the group dealing with the loss of Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) to Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his baseball bat Lucille with its second half revolving around the group creating an army to prepare for war against the Saviors and Negan. Its spin-off series, Fear the Walking Dead, just started airing its third season on June 4 and has been met with favorable reviews and reception from audiences and critics alike. AMC's other drama, Preacher, also just started airing its second season on June 25 with positive reviews for its fun and focused storytelling.

Now, fans of these AMC series will get to see all the stars come out for SDCC panels and fan activities throughout the weekend, including a The Walking Dead-themed booth (#4237) in the Convention Center, where fans can stop by to take photos.

Preacher Damsels Promo Released

The Fear the Walking Dead panel will take place from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Friday, July 21 in Hall H, and the autograph session will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 at MLK Plaza. Panelists will include cast members Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Sam Underwood, Daniel Sharman and Michael Greyeyes along with executive producer and showrunner David Erickson, executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.

The Walking Dead panel will take place from 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. on Friday, July 21 in Hall H, and the autograph session from 1:45 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. on Friday, July 21 at booth #4237. Panelists will include cast members Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson, Khary Payton, and Chandler Riggs along with executive producer and showrunner Scott M. Gimple, executive producer Robert Kirkman, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive Producer, director and special effects makeup supervisor Greg Nicotero and executive producer David Alpert. Both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead panels will be moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

The Preacher panel will take place from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21 in Hall H. Its panelists will include cast members Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti and Graham McTavish along with executive producer Seth Rogen and executive producer and the author of the Preacher graphic novel, Garth Ennis.

The new docuseries, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics, will consist of six hour-long episodes that explore the stories, people, and events that have transformed the world of comic books. Its panel will be at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 in Room 6DE and will include Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Daniel Junge and Rory Karpf.
