The episode titles for The Walking Dead: Dead City season 1 have officially been released. The first post-Walking Dead spinoff series, Dead City follows Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as the pair traverse a post-apocalyptic New York City to save Maggie's kidnapped son, Hershel. The series will premiere on June 18 with a six-episode season 1.
In a tweet from Dead City, the Walking Dead spinoff's season 1 episode titles have been revealed.
The Dead City series premiere will be titled "Old Acquaintances," with the following episodes to be titled "Who's There?," "People Are a Resource," "Everybody Wins a Prize," and "Stories We Tell Ourselves." The season 1 finale will be called "Doma Smo," which is Croatian for "We Are At Home," and is expected to air on July 23.

The first of three upcoming Walking Dead spinoff shows, Dead City will explore Maggie and Negan's complicated relationship with one another, while also delving deeper into their backstories. A recently released trailer reveals that the series' villain, The Croat (Zeljko Ivanek), seems to know Negan. Beyond that, The Croat's connection to Negan is potentially why Hershel was kidnapped. Morgan says that The Croat is "an underling of Negan's from back in the day," but that even his history of cruelty doesn't come anywhere close to The Croat's.
Ahead of the series premiere, Dead City season 2 was seemingly confirmed by star Mahina Napoleon. This could indicate that AMC is predicting Dead City to be a big hit, as the spinoff is highly-anticipated by Walking Dead fans. It could also mean that Maggie and Negan may potentially reunite with other fan-favorite Walking Dead characters, like Rick, Michonne, and Daryl, down the line; all three are starring in their own upcoming spinoff shows as well.
While the episode titles don't reveal much, episode 3's "People Are a Resource" is a reference to an old Negan adage, and could indicate his return to his old ways. Morgan has been open about Negan's journey in Dead City, saying that "he's gone backwards," and that fans can expect to see more of the villainous Negan as opposed to the kinder version of the character seen in later Walking Dead seasons. Viewers can catch the series premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City on AMC on June 18.
