The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon unveils the full cast for the highly-anticipated spinoff series. He rode off into the sunset in the final episode of The Walking Dead, but Daryl Dixon’s hiatus will be short-lived, as the fan-favorite character is set to return in a TWD Universe spinoff. It was revealed last year that Daryl actor Norman Reedus will be joined on the show by Clémence Poésy as Isabelle and Adam Nagaitis as Quinn.

Now more actors for the Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spinoff have been revealed via TV Line. Joining the previously-revealed stars are Anne Charrier as Genet, Eriq Ebanouey as Fallou, Laika Blanc Francard as Sylvie, Romain Levi as Codron and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi as Laurent. Further details about these characters are being kept under wraps for the time being.

How The Paris Setting Changes Things Up For The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

The character names just unveiled by The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon only serve to point up that this is not a show set in the United States. Instead of walking the forests of the American Southeast, Daryl this time will roam the zombie-plagued streets of Paris, where survivors are trying to cobble together a post-apocalyptic existence for themselves. Daryl literally “washes up” in France in the words of the show’s official synopsis, after which “The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home.”

The change of setting from America to France obviously brings in a lot of new dynamics for Daryl Dixon, including a fish-out-of-water element for Daryl that has already been teased by Reedus himself. Indeed, Reedus has underlined that his Daryl Dixon spinoff will be markedly different from The Walking Dead, going so far as to call the show a “reset.” Refreshing the action is certainly a necessity after eleven seasons of The Walking Dead, but simply changing the setting won’t be enough to bring about that refresh.

In the name of truly changing things up, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will indeed go farther than just having Daryl interact with people whose language he doesn’t speak. The show will also bring back those smart, fast zombies fans were given a small taste of in the final season of The Walking Dead. Fast zombies won’t be the only problem Daryl faces, however. As the synopsis says, the connections Daryl forms complicate his plan to get back home. TWD fans now know the names of the characters Daryl will be connecting with on his French foray, but don’t yet know what these characters are all about.
