Nick Jonas, one of the coaches on The Voice season 20, revealed he broke his rib while doing stunts for a new NBC showNick skyrocketed to the top of the fame game as a teenager when he and his brothers formed their band the Jonas Brothers. After making a deal with Disney, the band became an instant hit among teens and pre-teens. While at the top of their fame, the brothers decided to call it quits and go their separate ways creatively. After successful solo careers, they did the world a favor and got back together as a band 10 years after their initial break-up and have been going strong ever since.

While they are still a band, they will occasionally branch off and do projects on their own. One example is Nick appearing as a coach on NBC's popular singing competition The Voice. Nick is joined by Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and John Legend on the coaching panel. During this week's live show, Nick let everyone know that if he seemed off, it wasn't because he didn't like the performances but rather because he broke his rib due to a motorcycle accident. He told fans at the time that he's had better days, but he'll eventually be all right. Nick didn't suffer any other major injuries from the accident, just some minor bumps and bruises. No further information was given at the time about the circumstances surrounding the crash, but it seems like Nick is now ready to give more details.

During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Nick revealed that his injury happened while filming a new show for NBC. E! News reports that the show is called Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers and will also star Nick's older brothers and bandmates, Joe and Kevin Jonas, as they compete against each other at different sports. The Voice coach Nick explained that he and his brothers understood that there was a high possibility of injury while doing these stunts and competing, so they all agreed to be as careful as possible. This just goes to prove that no matter how careful someone is, things can always go wrong and injury is always a possibility.

The injury occurred while the brothers were competing in a motorcycle race, which Nick admitted was pretty intense. As to how exactly the crash happened, Nick is still pretty unsure himself. He explained that the handlebars of his motorcycle somehow got out from under him and he just fell off. Being the great brother that he is, his first thought when he fell off his bike was that he was going to cause one of his brothers to get injured. As soon as he stood up, however, he realized that the only one who was injured in that situation was himself. Seth Meyers pointed out that since the incident happened on an NBC set, the same network that airs The Voice, Nick should be given workers' comp. Nick jokingly agreed but then noted that he's sitting down for the whole show, which actually helps his rib feel better.

The big question on everyone's mind is whether Nick was able to finish filming the NBC special with his brothers. It seems like he was, as the hour-long special, Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers, is set to air on July 21. Fans are now wondering whether the incident will be featured on the show or edited out, in order to save Nick some dignity. Also, as Nick's second season as a coach on The Voice comes to an end, and fans will have to say goodbye, it will be interesting to see how Ariana Grande does as a Voice coach for season 21.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
