With The Voice celebrating 10 years and returning for a 20th season, Nick Jonas has reclaimed his red chair as a coach. Accompanied by coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson, and replacing Gwen Stefani, Nick, 28, who had previously appeared on season 18, even went to the finals with Thunderstorm Artis. However, a sudden, unexplained exit followed for newbie Nick, who’s now switched up with Gwen to become a master. But’s other than his coaching career, the youngest of The Jonas Brothers has been keeping himself busy with promoting his electronic-rich album Spaceman. Apart from enjoying his honeymoon period with his wife and actor Priyanka Chopra, 38, of course.

With Spaceman landing successfully, a lot of eyes have been stationed on Priyanka, who features in the title track's music video. The Voice coach and his Bollywood superstar partner also recently announced the nominations for the Academy Awards 2021. But how many of Nick’s admirers know that it all started with a DM for the Sucker couple? Although it could have been a better idea for Nick to impress Priyanka by saying he eats cheese, “but only on pizza, please,” his first message to the former Miss World was “I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” Priyanka replied to Nick with, “My team can read this. Why don't you just text me,” and thus began the couple’s love story on September 8, 2016. A year later, in February 2017, at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, Nick got down on one knee in a packed room and asked Priyanka, “You're real. Where have you been all my life?"

The couple made their first public appearance together at the Met Gala in May 2017 when both walked down the red carpet in Ralph Lauren, and Priyanka invited Nick to her apartment after a date at Carlyle Hotel in New York. The night, however, ended with a platonic pat on the back and not a kiss, as Priyanka’s mother was at home watching Law & Order. Embarrassing first dates notwithstanding, Priyanka and Nick were officially dating by May 2018, flirting openly on Instagram and with her meeting the Jonas parents in New Jersey at his cousin’s wedding. Things got serious on a trip to India as alongside meeting Priyanka’s family, Nick went IG official and posted a video of her captioned, “Her 😍” in June 2018.

"Taken.. With all my heart and soul.." is how The White Tiger actress announced her engagement to The Voice star in August 2018, followed by Nick’s post where he called her “Future Mrs. Jonas.” Although their 10-year age gap did raise a few eyebrows, the much-in-love duo, who picked “Prick” as their celebrity couple name decided for a December 2018 wedding. The venue was the grand Umaid Bhavan Palace in Rajasthan, India, where Priyanka and Nick had their multicultural wedding with both a Hindu and a Christian ceremony. Fans of the couple were particularly enthralled to see Nick and his family, including brother Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas embracing Priyanka’s culture in their traditional Indian garb. Three different wedding receptions later took a mini-moon in Oman, and later, a full-fledged beach honeymoon in the Caribbean.

While Sucker from the Jonas Brothers’ fifth studio and reunion album had Nick and Priyanka share screen space for the first time, The Voice celebrity and his wife have since celebrated many milestones. Nick launching his tequila brand Villa One in 2019, Priyanka gifting him a puppy Gino on their first anniversary who was soon joined by Panda and the OG Diana, and also announcing an Amazon competition series about Indian weddings, as per Elle. “Buying a home and having a baby are on my to-do list,” Priyanka had declared in September 2019. Now with a $20 million Los Angeles mansion, which the couple spent their 2020 quarantine in, all eyes and ears are on when Priyanka and her The Voice mentor husband will welcome a mini Jonas next.
