The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson won multiple awards at the Daytime Emmys this year, including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, and she took to Twitter to celebrate. The singer got her start in the entertainment industry when she competed in the very first season of American Idol back in the summer of 2002. Her exquisite voice impressed the entire country. Throughout her journey on the long-running singing competition series, she covered such songs as Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and "Natural Woman," the King Sisters' "Stuff Like That There," the Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men," Celine Dion's "I Surrender" and Badfinger's "Without You." At the finale with Justin Guarini, she ended up winning the competition.

Clarkson has become one of the most successful Idol contestants ever with numerous albums and singles, including "Since U Been Gone," "Behind These Hazel Eyes," "Because Of You," "My Life Would Suck Without You," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and "Piece By Piece." In 2018, she joined The Voice as a new coach and has become a regular by appearing in every single season since then. Less than two years later, Clarkson launched her own daytime talk show, which has been a huge success. She had the highest-rated debut for a daytime show in seven years. The Kelly Clarkson Show was nominated for seven Daytime Emmy Awards in 2020, taking home three wins, including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.

The Daytime Emmy Awards have come around again, and The Kelly Clarkson Show took home three awards out of a total of six nominations, according to THR. Clarkson herself won for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host again. The show as a whole won for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show, as well as for Outstanding Live And Direct To Tape Sound Mixing. Kelly took to Twitter to celebrate the big news, exclaiming, "Time to celebrate y'all...and I'll be toasting to the @KellyClarksonTV crew for all of their hard work." After the Voice coach won for her talk show hosting duties, she said it was "such an honor" to win and gave a shout-out to "the crew, my band, my glam squad, and of course, the ones who watch at home!!"

The Kelly Clarkson Show is a really entertaining talk show. In the daytime TV landscape, what makes her stand out is the fact that she starts off every single episode by performing a song that someone in the audience requested. It makes sense for comedic hosts to kick off their show with a monologue. Clarkson decided to play to her own strengths as a singer and performer.

Clarkson's personality, charisma and talkative nature all lend themselves well to the talk show format (and, of course, a reality show like The Voice), and it's paid off. The awards that she and the show have won over the past year are well-deserved. Even people who don't watch her show end up checking out videos of her performances on YouTube and social media. Being able to go viral and have a strong digital footprint in today's fractured TV landscape is very important. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show's James Corden, for example, know that very well with the games and segments they air. Along with her talk show, Clarkson will be back on The Voice in the fall.
