Kelly Clarkson, judge from The Voice, has purchased a $5.4 million Californian mansion amidst her divorce. Clarkson filed for a divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock in June 2020. The two were married for seven years. The American singer-songwriter has two children with Blackstock: 7-year-old River Rose Blackstock and 5-year-old Remington Alexander Blackstock.
Clarkson and Blackstock purchased a home in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 2012. The estranged couple renovated the four-acre lakeside home, which sits next door to land owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. Clarkson and Blackstock bought the home for $2.86 million. The 20,000-square-foot mansion was listed on the market at around $6 million. The home boasts breathtaking water views, a boathouse, a pool-spa terrace, and an outdoor fireplace among other features.
US Weekly reports that Clarkson's new home is located in Toluca Lake, and it will likely be a fresh start for the singer. The judge from The Voice told viewers the house is very clean on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The singer-songwriter stated, “I got a new house, it’s very white and clean…” The new house covers less acreage than the Tennessee home. The Californian mansion spans a little under 5,000 square feet.
Clarkson still has plenty of room for her growing children to run and play. The house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The judge disclosed that she even revamped her office space to feel happy. As of late, Clarkson has other reasons to be happy. The Voice coach took home three awards for her talk show at the Daytime Emmys. Clarkson received six nominations and awards for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show, Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, and Outstanding Live And Direct To Tape Sound Mixing.
Clarkson has established a strong presence as a coach on The Voice. The singer-songwriter has appeared on every season of the voice competition since joining in 2018. With many of her career opportunities taking place in Los Angeles, Clarkson’s new home is ideal. She will return to The Voice as a judge in the fall and will be closer to work, as the show is filmed at Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, California. Clarkson may have resided as a judge on the show for quite some time, but the singer-songwriter is “Already Gone” from her Tennessee home.
