NBC's The Voice is like a close-knit family, with Kelly Clarkson proving this by remaining close to her fellow colleague, Blake Shelton, despite her recent divorce. The pair have been friends for years, and it doesn't look like broken wedding vows are going to stop that.

Kelly has been at the center of some ongoing drama, especially when it comes to her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. A judge recently ordered Kelly to pay $200,000 a month in spousal support. Viewers may best remember Kelly as the first winner of American Idol, where she beat out Justin Guarini for the ultimate title. She has had a very successful music career with hits like "Since U Been Gone" and "My Life Would Suck Without You." She can not only be seen on The Voice, but she also hosts her own daytime talk show, which has won a Daytime Emmy, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Now, Kelly is opening up to Us Weekly about her close-knit friendship with fellow music star, Blake Shelton. Brandon has been Blake's longtime manager, but a source revealed to the outlet that Kelly and Blake are still "extremely close," with their friendship going beyond business. It has also helped that Brandon has quit the music industry. The decision makes it much easier for Blake and Kelly to correspond. Brandon now aims to become a full-time rancher, which seems plausible, thanks to his big monthly allowance.

Court documents obtained by the outlet already show that Brandon spends little time managing Blake and is ready to move on. It was also revealed that Brandon's change in profession, paired with his continued ownership of the couple's Montana ranch, are some of the biggest issues that keep coming up in the divorce. Kelly has wanted to sell it, as it costs $81,000 a month to maintain, but Brandon has argued to keep it as his headquarters.

The 39-year-old mother first met her soon-to-be-ex at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006. At the time, Brandon was married to Melissa Ashworth, and Kelly was being managed by his father, Narvel Blackstock. As the story goes, Blake played an intricate part in convincing Brandon to propose to his wife. Blake just got married himself over the July 4th weekend to singer Gwen Stefani. The two have been dating for years and finally decided to make it official. Fans of The Voice can look forward to seeing Blake and Kelly banter with one another, as friends do, on the newest season. But it is highly unlikely she will confide in Blake about her messy divorce.
