On The Voice, fans have been introduced to some unforgettable artists, and we're here to share information about contestants who dazzled judges with their style. The series started airing in 2011, and The Voice has featured a generous number of exceptional performers. Some didn't walk away with cash prizes. However, they did manage to steal the hearts of the public and create platforms for themselves. The ones who displayed stellar style, in terms of fashion, how they sang, or how they carried themselves (or all of the above) earned kudos from the show's coaches, and fans appreciated their presentation too.

The Voice has been running for 20 seasons. When the show's contestants try to set themselves apart from the pack, they sometimes choose unique style approaches that make their performances and voices stand out. Some of these choices have worked out for them, as some of the quirkier contestants have managed to get 4-chair turns in their blind auditions.

In season 7, fans watched Matt McAndrew’s rendition of "The Blower’s Daughter." Matt was entering the next episode from a bigger production the week before. He worried about the song's stripped-down arrangement. However, the moment his performance started, it was smooth sailing. With nothing but a guitar and cello accompaniment, Matt McAndrew gave the crowd chills with his unique voice. The Voice coach Adam Levine said that being able to express love as something painful and genuine during a performance is valuable. Adam added, “I am so proud that you’re doing that on this show.”

Season 8 showcased Kimberly Nichole, a singer-songwriter from Seattle. While most contestants walked onto The Voice stage, Kimberly strutted. Then, she nailed her rendition of "Nutbush City Limits". Even The Voice fan favorite Blake Shelton couldn't help but turn his chair. Near the end, Kimberly belted out her last note, and Pharrell decided that he would battle Blake over being her coach. Pharrell later said, “there was a note that she hit,” trying to explain why he turned around for Kimberly Nichole. Ultimately, she went with Pharrell. They went on to arrange some beautiful sets for her throughout the competition.

When talking about style, we can't forget season 3 contestant Melanie Martinez. She was a clear standout with her half-blonde, half-black hair. She also made waves thanks to her incredibly unique voice and the tambourine by her feet. She would tap that instrument throughout her performance. She made her arrangement of "Toxic" by Britney Spears her own in an effortless fashion. This was before Adam Levine left the show and he was very impressed. Melanie Martinez also gave killer performances when she sang "Seven Nation Army", "Crazy", and "Cough Syrup."

During The Voice season 12, JChosen did a cover of "Sexual Healing." This blind audition left no chair unturned. When it comes to adding stylistic touches to his singing, JChosen is certainly adept. He went for growls and runs. He exhibited his range in less than two minutes and even managed to make Alicia Keys blush. She was behind Gwen Stefani’s chair. The judges fought tooth and nail for JChosen, referencing what they could bring to the table and singing his praises. “It’s really a blessing,” said Alicia Keys.

While they were eliminated from the show, these The Voice contestants have certainly made their mark. They have become fan favorites. By showcasing style and talent, they carved out identities onstage. They’ve also gone on to produce their own music, and have gained more fans in the process.
