After Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's lavish wedding over the Fourth of July weekend, fans of The Voice coaches have since been left disappointed by the absence of social media posts regarding the big day. Treated with multiple Instagram posts from Gwen, fans were given an initial glimpse into the celebration held at Blake's home in Oklahoma. Awaiting Shelton's recollection of the day, the country star's only offering is a repost of one of his new wife's pictures.

Blake and Gwen first met in 2014 while coaching on NBC's The Voice. During this time, they were married to previous partners until 2015, when both sadly divorced from their spouses. Bonding over heartbreak, the couple began to officially date in November 2015. Fans were delighted to hear of the pair's engagement at Shelton's home in October 2020. In preparation for the nuptials, Blake had a private wedding chapel built on his property. After teasing details throughout the year, the two wed on July 3 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.

Following speculation that Gwen and Blake secretly wed in the weeks before the wedding, fans were especially eager for images after the official announcement. Followers of Gwen's Instagram were soon given a glance into the collision of pop and country, as the "Hollaback Girl" singer sported two Vera Wang gowns paired with ivory cowboy boots. Additional images showed the couple alongside The Voice host Carson Daly, who officiated the wedding, and Gwen's children, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. In comparison to Gwen's five posts with multiple images and words of admiration for each, fans of Blake were left disheartened with the singer's mere re-sharing of his wife's post on his own Instagram.

"You just married one of the best women alive and you have not posted a single thing. Reposting doesn't count," one fan commented on Blake's following post. In the same post showing the singer performing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, another fan said commented, "He said more about this than he did about getting married." Users also questioned why Blake was posting old content instead of his assumed honeymoon with his new wife, while others believed the lack of posts might be due to the star's team managing his social media accounts.

A video of Blake and Gwen released on Twitter twelve days following the wedding had fans further questioning if Blake can recall that the two married. Taking to the stage at Blake's ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the newlyweds surprised diners with an impromptu performance. In the video taken by one fan in attendance, Blake can be seen welcoming "Gwen Stefani" to the venue. "I thought it was Gwen Shelton," she replied, leaving her husband and the audience in laughter.

Whether the couple is gracing screens on The Voice or popping up with impromptu rehearsals, it is evident that fans can not get enough of the performer duo. Despite Blake's absence on social media, the country star can soon be found on tour, performing with Martina McBride, Tracy Byrd, Trace Adkins, and Lindsay Ell. The Friends and Heroes Tour begins in August, with tickets currently on sale. But until then, fans will evidently need to get their Blake and Gwen fix through Mrs. Shelton's Instagram alone.
