Country star Blake Shelton officiated his good friend's wedding, Trace Adkins and Victoria Pratt. He took a break from being a judge on The Voice to show some love.
Adkins and Pratt started their budding romance when the two worked together on the film The Virginian in 2013, and they have been seen snapped together all over the place since. The pair has also appeared together recently in the film Bennet's War, which was released this past August. The 48-year-old actress is best known for her past role on the sci-fi show Mutant X in the early 2000s, while Adkins is best known for his country music career, with his most popular hit in 2005, "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk."
Recently, Adkins and Pratt surprised the world when the country singer posted a picture of the two getting married in New Orleans on his Instagram. But there was one more surprise - Blake Shelton was the one who officiated the wedding ceremony. The photo shows the bride and groom standing in front of Shelton while he talks into the mic, and everyone had a huge smile on their faces. The bride wore a strapless light pink bridal gown with a tulle skirt with a bouquet of red and pink roses. The 57-year-old's daughter Briana Adkins shared a post to her Instagram on Saturday of herself in a light blue gown. She geotagged the picture in the French Quarter in New Orleans and captioned it, "Ya like jazz? ;)" Meanwhile, there is a certain important person who played a major role in the wedding who has yet to publicly congratulate the pair: Shelton. However, Shelton's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, shared a photo of the married couple to her Instagram story to congratulate them. However, Stefani didn't attend the wedding due to her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
This is the fourth marriage for Adkins. He has two daughters - Sarah and Tarah - with his first ex-wife Barabra Lewis. The singer was also married to Julie Lauren Curtis for three years until 1994. In 2015, he and his third ex-wife, Rhonda Adkins, settled a divorce after 17 years of marriage. They share three daughters - Mackenzie, 21, Briana, 18, and Trinity, 15 - and this is Pratt's second marriage after being previously married to director T.J. Scott. The two finalized their divorce in 2016 after 16 years of marriage.
This is not the first time Shelton has officiated a wedding. The 43-year-old officiated the wedding ceremony for his sister. The Voice judge was also set to officiate Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, but the two ended up getting eloped instead in 2013.
