Ariana Grande is getting some mixed reactions from fans following her recent chair turn on The Voice. Ariana is the newest singer to join the competition show as a coach and is already one of the most popular among fans. This season, she's coaching alongside other famous artists Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend. Ariana recently took to Instagram to share a funny text exchange between her and Blake, featuring a screenshot of an article that claims The Voice is looking to replace Blake with younger coaches. While Blake jokingly responded with a sarcastic thank you, it's undeniable that Ariana is one of the more popular coaches on the show.

Ariana also recently admitted on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show to breaking rules in her contract for The Voice. While that may sound bad to fans, the rule Ariana broke is DMing the artists she chose to be on her team. She went on to say that people who work on the show have told her she's not supposed to violate her contract in that way, but she keeps doing it. It's definitely for a kind reason, and the members of her team probably appreciate it, even if Ariana is technically breaking the rules.

Now, David Vogel, one of Ariana's team members, is getting fans talking online. David performed Ariana's song, "breathin," on a recent episode. His stylistic choice to sing while playing guitar got Ariana to turn for him at the last minute, making her the only coach to want him on her team (via The Voice). Some fans thought Ariana turning at the last minute meant she felt bad for him and only turned because he was singing her song. "Who else also felt like Ariana turned her chair out of guilt? He is in good hands and will hopefully improve," one fan commented (via Good Housekeeping). The former Victorious actress looked like she was contemplating whether or not she should turn during his performance.

Another commenter remarked that Ariana "felt bad for him" and that "she cares about people instead of winning." However, other fans thought David had a lot of talent and Ariana heard that, which is why she chose him. "I think this is one of the best auditions I've heard so far, he's definitely really original and made Ari's song his own and that's why he deserved to be on the show," one fan wrote. Ariana also complimented David's performance. "That was so beautiful. I thought it was a really unique take. I love that you play an instrument too," she said. "I loved your take on it. I love your tone. I love your style. I’m selfishly very happy I waited ‘til the last second because now you are mine and mine only."

Ariana chose three other singers for her team during the second week of The Voice auditions. Raquel Trinidad, Hailey Mia, and Bella DeNapoli will also be coached by the Grammy Award-winning artist this season. Ariana is hopeful David could be the one to make it "all the way to the end." While there may be a debate between fans on why Ariana turned for David, all that really matters is that she did. She made it clear she wants him on her team, and that he could even be the one to take it all home. The "positions" singer could even be the winning coach on her first season, especially since Ariana has a really talented group of artists to mentor.
