Players experience the story of Visage very slowly and often not in chronological order. During the game, players find themselves in a massive, labyrinthine house harboring dark secrets about the atrocities that took place there. Events and memories are revealed in flashes, and players will need to solve difficult puzzles to learn more and progress the story further. In Chapter 2, Dolores's chapter, players will find themselves inside a twisted dream filled with mirrors. Many of the mirrors act as portals that lead players to different locations in and around the home. There are also 11 mirrors with associated puzzles for players to solve to piece together more of what happened to Dolores and her little family.

Unlike some of the other ghosts in other chapters of the game, Dolores' story is somewhat heartbreaking, as it relates to mental illness and aging and could be interpreted more as a tragedy based on circumstance rather than demonic possession. As the game does not give players much guidance to help them solve the puzzles to complete Dolores's story, they may struggle to know how to approach the mirrors. They will need to solve the puzzles in order and hold onto any items they find for use in subsequent puzzles. Here is the solution to all 11 mirror puzzles in Visage Chapter 2.

How to Solve Every Mirror Puzzle in Visage Chapter 2

A mirror in one of the rooms during Chapter 2 of Visage

During this level, players will need to follow an umbilical cord into a hidden, dark room with only a circle of mirrors in the center. As they look through each of the mirrors, a ghostly figure will try to come through one of the mirrors, jumpscaring the player and causing the mirror to fall backwards and break. They should enter this mirror and follow it into a room similar to the Progress Room with a confessional. The player will hear heavy breathing, and Dolores will ask from the other side of the confessional for the player to bring her the child. Players are going to need to find a way to get the child, which is where the mirror puzzles come in.

Around the house following this event, they will notice mirrors on various walls. Each of these can be broken, revealing new rooms and areas to explore.

To break each mirror and solve its associated puzzle, players are going to need a sledgehammer. They will find this tool in the Garage. After they step through the mirror that falls and breaks in the large circle of mirrors, they'll hear a car alarm going off. They'll need the Garage room key to enter the garage, find and equip the sledgehammer, and turn off the alarm.

Players can then complete the puzzles. The puzzles should be done in this order, as many mirrors can't be solved without items collected from the previous ones.

The Parents' Bedroom during chapter 2 of Visage

Mirror 1: Second Floor, near the Son's Room

  • Break the mirror to enter the portal. Walk to the end of the hall.
  • As the darkness moves closer, use the sledgehammer to break the cracked floorboards and fall through.
  • Enter the room with the hanging bodies and pick up and read the poem on the chair. The words, "two-sided moon," "clouded-vision," and "guilty shadow" will be underlined.
  • Inspect the bodies hanging around the room to find the ones with the drawings of an eye, moon, and shadow on them. They will be located in the back-center, back-right, and front-right.
  • Go up the stairs. In the middle of the room, by the light, find and pick up the mechanical crank.
  • Use the crank to open the skylights above the bodies with the drawings.
  • Go back downstairs and jump through the hole that appears in the floor where the chair was.
  • Go through the tunnel and exit through the door at the end.

This door leads players to the location of the next mirror.

Mirror 2: Basement Closet

  • Enter the closet in the basement across from the sign with the Basement Rules. Break the mirror and go through the broken crawlspace in the right wall.
  • Pick up the lighter on the end table.
  • Open the door and crouch and crawl through the crosses. Exit through the hole in the floor and go up the stairs. To get an easter egg, go to the door that closes behind Dwayne first and grab a cross to carry up the stairs.
  • At the top of the stairs, go left and use the Manual Crank from Mirror 1 on the pulley. This will raise the cross.
  • Go back around and pull the bloody knife out of the statue of Jesus on the cross.
  • Turn around and walk to the hole in the floor. For the easter egg, lay the cross across the hole, walk across it, and open the door on the other side.
  • After the cutscene easter egg, jump down into the hole. Return through the crawlspace in the wall where Dwayne entered and exit the mirror.

Players will need to head upstairs after completing this puzzle.

Mirror 3: Second Floor Office

  • Break the mirror, enter the room, and stand in front of George's body in the chair.
  • Pick up the IV bag by his arm and place the knife from the Mirror 2 puzzle in George's chest. He will drop a key on his lap.
  • Pick up the key, go to the other side of the room, and interact with the wall between the bookshelves to reveal a secret door.
  • Use the key George dropped to unlock the door and enter the room.
  • Interact with the box on the desk to pick up an audiocassette and cloud mobile toy. The toy is a collectible that goes on the baby mobile in the Parents' Room.
  • Leave the room to find George standing and watching.
  • Re-enter the room and slowly shut the door when George starts walking forward. When the player opens the door again, George will be gone. Exit the mirror.
  • Go to the Parents' Room. Listen to the audiocassette.
  • Interact with the picture near the light switch to knock it down.
  • Look through the peephole. There will be three paintings. Players need to either take a picture, memorize them, or write a note. They can proceed to the next mirror after that.

Mirror 4: First Floor TV Room by the Dining Room

  • Break the mirror and climb down into the hole.
  • Turn right and take the painting from the wall. It should match one from the peephole in the Parents' Room.
  • Walk into the darkness, turn left, and enter the large room.
  • Place the painting on the wall directly across from the door in the same position it was in when looking through the peephole.
  • Find the other two paintings and place them in the correct positions. One will be to the left of the door. The other will be on the floor near the wall where players need to hang the paintings.
  • When the paintings are in order, a secret door will be revealed. Enter the room.
  • Place the IV bag on the IV pole.
  • Take the mobile sun toy from the bed.
  • Exit the room, go through the tunnel, and climb up the ladder to leave the mirror.

Mirror 5: Next to the Wardrobe in the Basement

  • Break the mirror and walk into the kitchen. Dolores will chastise the player as George for being late for tea time and ask him to get her "Special Tea."
  • Take the key from the corner of the table and the audiocassette from the countertop.
  • Leave the mirror and go to the attic.
  • Use the hook to open the attic door. Enter the attic using the hook to pull the door down. Players may need to find the hook first if they don't already have it.
  • Find the tea box. It should be in the corner behind the rocking chair.
  • Bring the tea to Dolores in the mirror and watch the cutscene.
  • Pick up the crowbar and the mobile toy that's in the teacup.
  • Exit the mirror.

Mirror 6: Basement Hallway

  • Break the mirror and enter. Climb the ladder.
  • Use the crowbar on the window.
  • Pick up the compass.

Mirror 7: Basement Stairs (Near Dining Room)

  • Break the mirror and enter the park.
  • Use the compass to travel out of the park, down the road, and to the left.
  • Enter the cemetery and pick up the flower on the bench.
  • Walk to the statue in the center. Go left at the statue. Keep going until the path appears to end. Go to the open area on the right and stop at the open grave.
  • Interact with the open grave to start a cutscene.
  • After the cutscene, open the box. Be sure to crouch and grab the mobile toy.
  • Return the same way down the walkway, back to the center statue. Take a right at the statue.
  • For an easter egg, just before reaching the gate, take the small path to the right all the way to the dead end. Then, go back the same way to reach the gate.
  • Exit through the gate. Find the door to the mausoleum on the right and open it.

  • Go to the baby in the center of the room. Pick up the sphere.
  • Exit the mirror and head to the garage. Be careful not to be caught and killed by Dolores.
  • Enter the garage. Use the vice to break open the sphere.
  • Open the paper and read the note. Store the note for the next puzzle.

Mirror 9: First Floor Hallway (Where the Felix the Cat Clock Was, Near the Bookshelves)

  • Break the mirror and enter the hallway. This is one large square.
  • On the left wall, use the note from Mirror 8 to set the clocks. They should be set to 6:00, 2:30, and 12:30.
  • Turn left to follow the hall. Arrange the decorative plates based on the note as well. The one of the man should be turned three times until the head faces the left. One of the women should be turned once so the head faces the right. The center plate with the mother and baby will stay upright.
  • Turn left to follow the hall. Across from the hanging clothes, use the note to arrange the three windows. The two outer ones should be opened, while the middle one remains closed.
  • Go past the hanging clothes and turn left again to see the three candle holders. Light a candle and place it in the middle one.
  • Walk around the hall, following the sound of a baby crying, until a passage opens. Go inside to take the baby monitor.
  • Bring the baby monitor to the Parents' Room and turn it on.
  • Jot down the code coming through the monitor (50373).

Mirror 10: Second Floor Bathroom

  • Break the mirror. Walk through the door at the end of the hall. Keep moving forward.
  • At the intersection of the four hallways, pick up the audiocassette on the small table holding the baby monitor base.
  • Look up at the clocks above each hallway. Go through the hallways in the order dictated by the baby monitor code from Mirror 9. For example, 5 would be the hallway with the clock that displays 5:00.
  • Walk through the door at the end of the resulting hallway and interact with the phonograph. Watch the resulting cutscene.
  • After the cutscene, follow the path through the womb-infested house and down the stairs to reach the phonograph again. Follow the sound of the baby crying.
  • Take the crank from the phonograph.
  • Leave the room and enter the basement. Install the crank on the phonograph by the TV.
  • Follow the umbilical cord on the floor to the Progress Room.
  • Go through the Progress Room mirror.
  • Walk to the crib, pick up the baby, and leave the progress room.

Players must have solved all the previous puzzles prior to completing this last one.

  • First, go to the Parents' Room.
  • Place all the mobile toys on the mobile over the crib. Watch the resulting cutscene.
  • Take the key and open the music box next to the table holding the tape recorder.
  • Pick up the vinyl album and head to the basement.
  • Place the vinyl album on the phonograph and turn the crank. Listen to hear the music begin playing from the mirror next to the electrical room. Follow the sound.
  • Go through the door. The player will see a web of concrete stairs in all directions.
  • Follow the sound of the music. If the player hears growling, they are going the wrong direction.
  • Enter the room full of cribs and walk through it. Keep walking through the tunnel and go through the door at the end. This will take the player back into the room with the peepholes, previously viewed from the Parents' Room.
  • Look through the peephole nearest the door to see Dolores at the window. Watch the resulting cutscene.
  • Look through the second peephole. Watch the cutscene to finish the chapter.
