The feeling of nostalgia is one that seems to never escape society's mind. One website that can feed this feeling to the general public is no other than YouTube. Back in 2005, the video-sharing platform was born and defined what it truly means to be a"viral" sensation. Since then, millions of videos have been published and have made their way to mass media on more than one occasion.

Zombie Kid Likes Turtles (2007)

Zombie Kid.

At a whopping 17 seconds long, this feel-good video turned into the biggest meme of 2007 before memes were even created. A video meant to highlight Waterfront Village is now remembered for Jonathan's reaction to a reporter's question.

After getting his face painted like a zombie, Jonathan is asked what he thinks. Instead of commenting on the face painting activities, he quickly responds "I like turtles." The randomness of his answer to the reporter's immediate reaction to walk away from Jonathan and change the subject is awkward and comical at the same time.

Chocolate Rain (2007)

Tay Zonday singing "Chocolate Rain."

Tay Zonday's original song Chocolate Rain went viral on YouTube for Zonday's low bass voice rather than his thoughtful lyricism at the time.
