The game already has an ample roster of fighters, but a few more could only enhance the fun. Numerous characters from across the gaming world would make worthy additions to the Super Smash Bros. world, including heroes from action-adventure RPGs and intimidating fighters from other fighting games, but some make more sense than others.

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider

As one of the most famous video game characters in history, Lara Croft has a special place in gamers' hearts. Highly intelligent and athletic, Lara holds her own against all sorts of enemies and threats without losing her trademark sense of style.

Tomb Raider remains popular, with gamers finding easter eggs in the games to this day. It makes perfect sense for Lara to crossover to another franchise, and her appearance in Super Smash Bros. would enhance the game's female representation. Lara's Final Smash could use her athleticism, perhaps by performing a series of highly powerful attacks against one particular enemy.

Mai Shiranui - King Of Fighters

Speaking of iconic female characters in video games, few outrank Mai Shiranui. As beautiful as she is deadly, Mai is a female ninja able to create and control fire. Mai is also a founding member of the King of Fighters Tournament's Women Fighters Team.

Mai would be an excellent addition to the already impressive Smash roster, joining fellow King of Fighters alum Terry Bogard. Her fire-controlling powers would make her an instant threat in battle, and her Final Smash would be a full display of her raw fiery gifts.

Crash Bandicoot - Crash Bandicoot

One of the most beloved characters from the Land Down Under, Crash Bandicoot is an institution in the video game world. Incredibly popular, Crash Bandicoot inspired numerous other games, although the franchise remains highly regarded by critics and fans.

Crash Bandicoot himself is a very personable character who would be one of the most charismatic fighters in the Smash roster. Crash's Final Smash would take inspiration from his trademark attack, creating a massive tornado capable of blowing every enemy out of the field.

Morrigan Aensland - Darkstalkers

An antiheroine who serves as the de-facto female lead of one of Capcom's best gamesDarkstalkers, Morrigan Aensland debuted in 1994 and has remained popular among gamers. Morrigan is a vain and selfish succubus and princess of the demon realm of Makai who eventually matures and grows into her royal role.

Morrigan would give Bayonetta a run for her money for the role of best female character in Smash. The character would be an inspired addition to the game's roster, and her Final Smash - an enhanced version of her iconic Soul First special move - would kill more than one enemy at once.

Kratos - God Of War

Few video game characters have achieved the same pop culture relevance as Kratos, the protagonist of the critically acclaimed God of WarUnlike its Greek Mythology-inspired predecessorsGod of War draws from Norse mythology to tell the story of Kratos, who, along with his son, Atreus, journeys to the highest peak of the nine realms to spread his deceased wife's ashes.

Kratos would be a beast on the Smash field, disposing of enemies left and right with his godly powers. Kratos' Final Smash would draw from his electrokinesis from the games, creating a massing lightning bolt that struck the middle of the field.

Chun-Li - Street Fighter

Arguably the most significant female character in fighting games history, Chun-Li is a mainstay of the Street Fighter series. She is an expert martial artist and Interpol officer on a seemingly endless quest for revenge against the man who murdered her father, the evil M. Bison, one of the most powerful villains in Street Fighter.

Chun-Li would be one of the fastest characters on the Smash pool of fighters, similar to Captain Falcon and Sonic. Her deadly kicks would be the end of numerous characters, and her Final Smash would be an enhanced version of her iconic special move, Hyakuretsu Kyaku.

Geralt Of Rivia - The Witcher

Arguably the new millennium's most recognizable video game character, Geralt of Riva is a significant figure in literature, video games, and television. A witcher with many abilities, he travels the Continent killing monsters and claiming significant bounties while caring for his adoptive daughter, Ciri.

Geralt would join Solid Snake as Smash's resident brooding fighters. His abilities would include magic spells, AKA signs, and deadly attacks with his two iconic swords. Geralt could think outside the box for his Final Smash and use the Axii sign, allowing him to control one of the other fighters and attack in tandem.

Ezio Auditore Da Firenze - Assassin's Creed

The Assassin's Creed franchise has many great assassins, but none compare to Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The protagonist of the Italian Renaissance games, Ezio is an Italian master assassin, born into nobility before embracing his legacy to go against the Templar Order, led by the House of Borgia.

Ezio would bring Assassin's Creed into the Smash franchise, opening the door for other assassins to appear later. His attack would draw inspiration from his moveset in Assassin's Creed II, and his Final Smash could perhaps summon his fellow assassins to perform one all-powerful attack.

The Inquisitor - Dragon Age: Inquisition

The Inquisitor can have several attacks based on his specialization, so his costume changes could allow players to go back and forth between being a warrior, a rogue, or a mage. The Inquisitor's Final Smash would summon a rift in the battlefield, allowing demons to come out and attack the enemies.

Scorpion - Mortal Kombat

Arguably the most popular character from the Mortal Kombat series, Scorpion is an institution in the gaming world. An undead ninja on a quest to avenge his death and those of his family and clan, Scorpion uses a kunai spear to harpoon his opponents.

Fans used to the gore of MK would find it weird seeing a PG Scorpion in Smash. Still, his presence would be massive for the Smash series, and he'd quickly become of the best fighters on the roster. His Final Smash could draw inspiration from Scorpion's many Fatalities in MK11, but... less bloody.
