When it comes to Pokémonfans won't usually find Venom (or any other Marvel hero) in the Pokédex. However, two new variant covers for Venom #2 and Venom #3 have turned the iconic symbiote into an alien-Pokémon hybrid. Collecting them all just took a dangerous twist.

The Pokémon trading card game first launched in 1996 in Japan and 1998 in the United States. Billions of cards have been sold worldwide and the franchise has maintained global popularity, spawning dozens of TV shows, movies, and video games. What began as a roster of just 150 creatures has quickly grown to a whopping 898 Pokémon. Now, two more have been unofficially added in some incredible comic cover art.

Venom #2 and #3 have the creative team of Ram V., Bryan Hitch, Andrew Currie, Alex Sinclair, and Clayton Cowles. The variant covers, shared on League of Comic Geeks, are illustrated by Mike Mayhew. They imitate the style of trading cards, assigning attack values, and making evolutionary changes to Venom's body, with his Venom #3 form being incredibly impressive. Check out the character's newest evolutions here:

Venom #2 stars Venomilian, who can use Hyper-Fang and Rage Rush, with the special attack Symbio-Smash. Typically, Pokémon have Hit Points, which are simplified to HP. This Venom version instead has DP, which could mean something like Damage Points. Venom has a total of 130, while capable of dealing 45 and 70 with his standard attacks. When he evolves into Venomizard, his DP raises to 250, with his attack damage also increasing significantly. He has the attacks Tail Rage and Wing Assault, which deal 80 and 120 damage respectively. His special attack is called The Corrupter and it's a hard hitter, sending out a massive 300 points worth of damage with a blue flame that evokes Mega Charizard X.

Venomilian may be the base form of this Venomized creature, but it certainly seems to take notes from Charmeleon, the evolved form of the Pokémon Charmander (though its body more resembles Charmander). Venomizard is almost certainly a combination of Venom and Charizard, and one done beautifully. From the wings to the head, this could be the most fearsome variant of Charizard to ever exist. Even Venomizard's attacks are reminiscent of legitimate attacks, with Hyper Fang actually being a move straight out of Pokémon. It isn't often that Pokémon and Marvel experience a crossover, but this one is absolutely spectacular, even though it's unofficial and just for fun.

Marvel's fan-favorite symbiote is a fearsome fighter and other symbiotes have taken some incredible forms before. The King in Black event featured a dragon-like symbiote, known as Grendel Dragons, so Venomizard wouldn't be too farfetched of a concept to introduce into comic canon in some way. In the world of Pokémon, any form of Venom would certainly be a powerhouse worth keeping in a trainer's party long-term. Venom #2 and Venom #3 are both available now for fans of comics and Pokémon to catch both variant covers.
