Tom Hardy confirms a new Venom trailer is coming next week. Sony is once again attempting to make a Spider-Man shared universe. What makes their latest try different however is that Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, is currently part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With him tied up for the moment, they've turned to Tom Hardy to bring one of Spidey's greatest foes to the big screen - and hopefully properly this time.

Hardy stars as the titular host of the symbiote, but it'd be difficult to know that based on the first trailer alone. While comic fans and the film's title tease his transformation into Venom, there was just the briefest tease in the only footage so far released. Fans have anxiously been waiting to see a proper look at the symbiote form, and that could happen very soon.

As confirmed by Hardy, a new trailer for Venom is coming next week. He's set to attend CinemaCon and be part of Sony's panel. The panel is Monday night from 6:30-8:30 pm, and Hardy is set to debut a brand new look then. Considering Hardy made the announcement before hand, it doesn't appear this will be an exclusive look for the folks in attendance, and instead will be made available for the general public to see.

It is certainly time for a new look at the movie too. The first trailer was released over two months ago, and there hasn't been any other marketing since. Since the team behind the movie has had a few more weeks to work on things, what comes next will hopefully give fans the look at Venom they've been waiting for.

Not only will the trailer be shown in front of a live audience, but it also will arrive right as the summer movie season officially kicks off. That means this trailer is sure to be the main trailer for the purposes of marketing, and could even be seen in theaters later in the week with Avengers: Infinity War. Sony can't afford to have a similar reaction to the first trailer with the new one, so the first look at Hardy as Venom is surely coming. It could also reveal more of the story, especially with the first trailer barely touching on that either.

Rumors have swirled that Woody Harrelson is playing Carnage, while Riz Ahmed plays the main villain of the film. If this new trailer does dive deeper into the story, it will be interesting to see which elements they choose to highlight. Thankfully, there won't be too long of a wait to see what else Venom has to offer.
