Mild spoilers for Venom ahead.

Venom movie fan art captures the kiss between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and the symbiote host called Venom. Ever since Sony Pictures' Venom hit theaters last week, the movie has been the subject of much debate and discussion. Many fans have accused critics of not understanding Venom, which currently holds a dismal 30 percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, that's compared to the viewer score, which sits at 89 percent. Certainly, the Venom movie reviews haven't seemed to reflect the enjoyment audiences have gotten from watching Eddie Brock come to terms with his symbiote host.

One aspect of Venom that fans and critics seem to agree on, though, is that the dynamic between Hardy's Eddie Brock and Venom is a high point of the movie. Following early reviews and reactions to Venom, many fans were especially excited to hear that at one point in the movie, Eddie and Venom kiss, which does in fact occur within the film. The kiss, and the overall dynamic between Eddie and Venom - which, in the comics, does often take on a deeper, more intimate tone - has led fans to "'ship" the two characters (meaning, they endorse a romantic relationship between them).

As with many other properties, fans have celebrated the relationship between Eddie and Venom through fan art. Tumblr user tench posted a piece of art depicting Eddie and Venom lovingly looking into each other's eyes. See the art below.

Additional fan art of Eddie and Venom can be found under the hashtag "Symbrock" (a portmanteau of "symbiote" and Eddie's last name) on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. There's a variety of fan art depicting the relationship between Eddie and Venom, including this piece by Twitter user hatoribaka of Venom saying, "You are mine," to Eddie - a line taken directly from the movie.

Considering the wealth of fan art for Venom - ranging from silly to romantic - it's clear that fans have latched onto the movie, particularly Eddie and Venom's relationship. Of course, that's also clear from Venom's performance at the box office. The movie broke Gravity's record for best October opening weekend ever, and beat out competition from A Star Is Born to win the weekend. Now in its second weekend in theaters, and with relatively smaller or less buzzy releases like First Man, Bad Times at the El Royale and Goosebumps 2 the only movies having released this weekend, it's certainly possible Venom will remain at #1.

Between the successful box office run so far and the fan appreciation for Venom, it's looking more and more likely Sony will green light a sequel. The Venom post-credits scene clearly set up a sequel featuring Carnage, one of the symbiote's most well known villains from the Marvel Comics. Plus, considering how well loved the dynamic between Eddie and Venom was, fans will no doubt show up to see the characters take on Carnage. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but until Venom 2 gets the go-ahead, fans can make due with all the fan art being created for Venom.
