A new collectible is throwing Venom back to his time as the Lethal Protector. Marvel Comics has produced countless amazing collectibles in the past and this Venom is the latest addition. Symbiote fans will undoubtedly want to add this polystone and resin bust to their collection.

Venom was introduced in 1988 and has been a fan-favorite character for decades. He has had numerous self-titled comics and has been featured in several films, including his recent sequel film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. While the antihero has often served as a villain to Spider-Man in the past, he's taken a long road to becoming a hero in his own right.

This new statue draws inspiration from when Venom was considered New York's Lethal Protector. This title was first given to him in the series of the same name, from 1993, when he traveled to San Francisco. However, this bust takes notes from his later years using the moniker, specifically from his 2018 series, Venom, when he took up the role within New York City. This bust is a recreation of Venom #28's Elite Virgin Edition variant cover by Valerio Giangiordano. This replica of Venom stands 80cm tall, 59cm wide, and 60cm deep. This bust is crafted by Queen Studios in a 1/1 scale and is part of the Artist Series. The bust has a polystone body with resin saliva and features the symbiote being merged into the base. This detail is a nod to the merge that occurs between host and symbiote. The most eye-catching features are his tendrils, his fearsome smile, extended tongue, and his spider insignia. All of the impressive details that make Venom so easily recognizable are perfectly on display in this bust. It is life-size, appearing ready to spring into action to protect New York after the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The original Lethal Protector series was Venom's first independent title and it was the first to make the character an antihero instead of a villain. It was also a major source of inspiration for Venom's first solo film in 2018. The title and its implications have stayed with the character over the years. During the 2018 comic series Venom, he faced numerous new dangerous foes, including Codex - who was revealed to be Eddie Brock's son, Dylan, from another world in Marvel's comic universe. Marvel's number of symbiotes and symbiote dangers have significantly been growing, but one constant through it all has been Venom.

This bust recreates a stunning variant cover from Giangiordano for the issue that revealed Dylan Brock's alternate world identity. Eddie Brock has had a hard life, but none of his decisions are usually as difficult to make as those that involve his son and Dylan has become a regular presence within Marvel Comics. Venom has fathered many of Marvel's symbiotes, but he's also been one of their greatest protectors against threats like Codex and Knull. Venom is an incredibly popular character and his legacy only grows with amazing collectibles like this Queen Studios bust, which is currently available for pre-order and is expected to ship in the first half of 2022.
