Venom: Let There Be Carnage brings back most of the fan-favorite characters from the first movie while making sure to add a couple of new and exciting ones. With a runtime of only 97 minutes, everyone gets right to business. There are no long walks in alleys or overextended fight sequences. The goal is clear: stopping Carnage as quickly as possible.

Each of the characters in the sequel has a clear-cut personality that most fans are likely to identify with. Eddie's lamentations? The Venom symbiote's endless indulgences? There is always someone with similar traits. And with the second installment being labeled a big improvement from the first, the characters feel much more developed.

Eddie Brock

Eddie Brock searches for the bodies of Kasady's victims in Let There Be Carnage

Eddie continues to put in work as an investigative journalist despite his newfound abilities. Fed up with Venom's constant nagging,  the two argue frequently leading to a brief annulment of the "man" and "symbiote" merger. They later reconcile and even go on vacation together.

Eddie fans are generally fearless. They don't mind interacting with dangerous people if there is a goal to it, the same way Eddie interacts with the serial killer Cletus Kasady to extract information. And in the same way that Eddie keeps his calm even when the Venom symbiote messes up his house and destroys his possessions, an Eddie fan is probably very accommodating, even to people who give them a hard time. Most importantly, they are always open to reconciliation whenever they've fallen out with someone.

Frances Barrison (Shriek)

An imprisoned Shriek at the Ravencroft Institute in Venom Let There Be Carnage

Barrison is taken from the St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children and locked up at the Ravencroft Institute where she spends most of her adult life before Kasady rescues her. The two go on to cause havoc together and make an attempt at nuptials but their party is crashed.

Fans that identify with Barrison probably feel that others don't treat them as fairly as they'd like. When they get the opportunity to show others who they really are, they take it. And just as Barrison still adores Kasady despite not seeing him for years, they believe in everlasting love. They are also the kind of people to let loose and join lovers in steamrolling through life in a destructive manner without turning back and glancing at the messes they've made.

Anne Weying

Eddie's ex-fiance, Anne Weying, calls him on a date only for her to tell him that she is now engaged to another man. She later implores Venom to reconcile with Eddie once again so that Carnage can be defeated at the end of the movie.

Those like Anne aren't known to stick around in difficult situations. It's revealed that Annie left Eddie when he started acting strangely after merging with the Venom symbiote. Fans of the character would definitely walk away if their partner changed so drastically. Despite patience and perseverance not being their thing, they are great at convincing people to do their bidding. And even when they fall out with people, they never stop caring about them.

Venom

The Venom symbiote gives Eddie a hard time early in the film, causing them to fall out. Still, it proves useful by helping Eddie find the locations where Kasady's victims are buried. It also saves Eddie from a fall that could have killed him.

Any Venom fan is likely to be a unique fusion of extremes. They can be stubborn and nagging. They won't give their friends and family peace of mind and as a result, they always find themselves in many arguments. Conversely, they can be very reliable in the same manner that Venom always comes to Eddie's rescue whenever he is in a corner. Venom fans tend to be very attached too. The symbiote tries to find other hosts but it doesn't work out. It realizes the journalist is the only person it likes, proving once again why Venom and Eddie are friendship goals.

Mrs. Chen

Mrs. Chen talks to Eddie in her bodega in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The convenience store owner merges with Venom briefly after he falls out with Eddie. She then lets Anne know what happened and passes over the symbiote to her so that she can get it back to Eddie.

Fans of Mrs. Chen are great at keeping secrets. Among the best decisions Eddie Brock makes is trusting Chen with his symbiote secret. Faithful to her friend, she never tells anyone. Fans of Chen are also compassionate and always seek to assist in any way they can. Just as Chen always stocks chocolates that Venom can feed on, her fans are always sure to keep items that would benefit other people rather than themselves.

Cletus Kasady

When the serial killer Cletus Kasady invites Brock over to San Quentin State Prison to talk, he bites his blood, ingesting a small part of the symbiote in the process. As a result, Carnage is born. With the help of the symbiote, Kasady breaks free and rescues Barrison. He tries to marry her but Venom, Mulligan, and Eddie interrupt the ceremony.

Cletus Kasady admirers enjoy engaging in mischief. To them, there is no harm in doing a few bad deeds. There are always serious implications to their actions but the weight of it all tends to be lost to them. Kasady admirers also enjoy having rivals with who they compete at all times. And like Barrison, they strongly believe in love too.

Patrick Mulligan

A detective reads the Daily Bugle with Cletus on the front page in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Since Kasady will only talk to Eddie, Mulligan organizes a visit for the journalist with the serial killer. Mulligan later gets caught up in Carnage's quest for destruction and almost gets killed in the process.

Viewers that sympathize with Mulligan probably hate chaos and evil. They always do their best to make sure there is peace and tranquility around them but that isn't always so easy. They never look away when bad things are happening either. And just as Mulligan proves to be one of the smartest characters in Venom: Let There Be Carnage by figuring out Eddie has something to do with Carnage's emergence, they are ever quick to figure out things that others can't.

Dan Lewis

Anne's new fiance isn't too happy about her having to deal with Eddie again. Withdrawn and somewhat bitter, he almost keeps Anne from helping Eddie get Venom back so that thye can battle Carnage. However, he becomes cooperative after realizing that there's much more at stake than his hurt feelings.

Those that consider Dan their favorite are likely to be understanding people. They tend to be okay with situations that would make others uncomfortable or angry. And just as Dan tries his best to help defeat Carnage despite being in no capacity to do, they always try to make themselves useful. In addition to that, they make great partners.

Peter Parker (Spider-Man)

Spider-Man standing next to train tracks

There are numerous explanations for the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage but the best part about it is that Venom appears very excited to see Peter Parker on his TV. The scene not only confirms the merging of Sony's Spider-Man universe with the MCU but also the fact that Venom and Spider-Man will cross paths soon.

Those that were thrilled by Peter's appearance, despite his limited screentime, are also known to stick to favorites and preferred methods of doing things. They'd rather wait for something they are used to than get an alternative. For this reason, they have always felt that the Venom movies are incomplete without Spider-Man, his chief rival and one of Marvel's most popular superheroes.

Carnage

Carnage causes havoc in the streets of New York in Venom: Let There Be Carnage

The Carnage symbiote becomes active right as Kasady is being given a lethal injection as part of his death sentence. It helps Kasady rescue his lover and commit a number of crimes but soon realizes the serial killer isn't its right host.

Carnage fans have more negative traits than positive ones. They thrive in chaos and are mostly self-centered, never minding leeching off others when it benefits them. This makes them clash with everyone, including their family, the same way Carnage clashes with Venom. Just as Carnage almost kills Kasady's lover, they've also hurt those close to them without realizing it.
