A new Venom 3 fan trailer sees Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man having a showdown with Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock. Sony's Spider-Man Universe is getting closer to finishing its trilogy that launched the franchise to begin with, as Hardy is coming back one more time as Venom. While plot details are being kept under wraps, Venom 3 is supposed to start filming this year, with Kelly Marcel set to direct.

Even though very little is known about Venom 3, fans are already imagining what the trilogy finale may have in store. Stryder HD, a popular YouTube editor, recently debuted a fan trailer for the upcoming sequel, titled Venom: Enter the Multiverse, featuring Garfield's Spider-Man.

The title Venom: Enter the Multiverse is a clever reference to the fact that both Hardy and Garfield appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Spider-Man: No Way Home. Whether or not Venom 3 will address Eddie's brief visit to the MCU remains to be seen, especially given the fact that a piece of the Symbiote was left behind in the Avengers-based universe.

Venom 3 Is Closer Than Ever To Having Its Own Spider-Man

Even though there have been no signs of Peter Parker taking part in Venom 3, Sony's Spider-Man Universe is getting closer than ever to finally staging an appearance by the web-crawler. In one of the latest Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailers, Spot actually shows up in the live-action universe while still being animated in front of Venom's Mrs. Chen. While it may be seen as a small cameo, it's a massive deal that the Spider-Verse franchise is crossing over, specifically with the Venom characters.

If there is a Spider-Man in this universe, it would make sense for it to be Garfield's iteration. While it may not have been the intention, Sony's Spider-Man Universe has had similarities to the world that Marc Webb created in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. It would also be the logical choice to reveal that Hardy and Garfield's characters were always in the same world right after their appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

At this point, it would be bizarre if Venom 3 didn't actually lead to Eddie interacting with at least some version of Spider-Man. Whether or not they would be on opposite sides or fighting a common enemy, it would be a massive payoff if the two Marvel icons finally got to share the screen together properly this time. Hopefully, whenever Venom 3 kicks off principal photography, more information will be released as to whether or not Spider-Man will take part in Hardy's potential final movie.
