A new Honest Trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage pokes fun at the bromance between Eddie Brock and his symbiote and roasts Sony for the film's Spider-Man references. Venom: Let There Be Carnage was released this past October and was a massive hit for Sony, earning $483 million at the global box office, despite the pandemic. Starring Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, and Naomie Harris, the sequel was directed by Andy Serkis and featured the continuing adventures of Eddie Brock (Hardy) as he struggles to live with his deadly alien symbiote while dealing with the threat of an even deadlier one, known as Carnage (Harrelson).

Venom: Let There Be Carnage divided critics, but was a crowd pleaser for most viewers, raking in an 84% audience score, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Venom 3 is said to be in the works, according to producer Amy Pascal, but the focus is currently on the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Serkis has said that he'd love to be a part of a third film as well, saying it was a "fun world to play in."

Screen Junkies have now released a new Honest Trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which focuses on the bromance between Eddie and his symbiote. The usual humorous truth bombs abound, highlighting the sillier aspects of the film, including Michelle Williams' wig (and overall involvement in the film), Harrelson's transformation into a Guy Fieri look-a-like, and the eerie similarities between Harris' Shriek and DC's Black Canary. It's all in good fun while calling out some of the film's perceived flaws, which makes for an entertaining watch. Check out the full trailer below:

Hardy recently wrapped the Netflix action/thriller Havoc for director Gareth Evans (The Raid), due in 2022, while Harrelson has racked up a number of projects for the next year, including the Watergate-themed TV series The White House Plumbers, as well as The Man From Toronto with Kevin Hart. Serkis will next be seen as Alfred Pennyworth in 2022's The Batman from director Matt Reeves. Williams, meanwhile, will next appear in Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical tale The Fablemans, also set for 2022.

The finale of Venom: Let There Be Carnage seemingly puts Eddie Brock/Venom into the MCU with a mysterious "snap," finally merging the two universes, getting viewers closer and closer to an eventual Venom/Spider-Man movie. Whether or not Venom will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home is still up in the air, but Hardy was spotted on the set some time ago. Regardless of how it happens, the eventual big-screen meet-up of the current Venom and Spider-Man will be a momentous occasion, to say the least, and hopefully it will happen sooner than later.
