A new clip from Venom: Let There Be Carnage shows Venom breaking Eddie Brock's nose during a heated moment. Venom 2, which was directed by iconic motion capture performer Andy Serkis, comes to theaters on October 1. According to Serkis, the film will be PG-13 but is actively pushing the limits of its rating. It features a star-studded cast, including Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, and Naomie Harris.

Venom 2, which follows the original film by two years, will see Eddie Brock attempt to resurrect his reporting career by interviewing the notorious serial killer Cleatus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson. Brock runs into trouble, however, when Cleatus becomes bonded with the alien symbiote Carnage, and begins to wreak havoc across San Francisco. Thankfully, Brock has an advantage after now having had ample time to familiarize himself with his own alien symbiote, the titular Venom. Unfortunately, even after all this time, the pair are still going through some growing pains.

On their YouTube channel, Bloody Disgusting has shared a brand new clip from Venom 2. The clip shows that Eddie Brock and Venom (both played by Hardy) may not quite have the hang of working together just yet. During an argument, the duo start slinging insults at each other, and Venom head-butts Eddie in a rage, breaking his nose. The symbiote is immediately apologetic but, since he is Venom, it doesn't last long. Check out the full clip below:

It looks like Venom still may not fully understand the limits of the fragile human body he finds himself linked to, and he's certainly not quite grasping the idea of teamwork. This is sure to present a challenge when it comes time to face Harrelson's Carnage, who will be an athletic, forceful threat given menacing life by Andy Serkis' team of CGI technicians. Hopefully, Eddie and Venom can patch up their differences (and Eddie's nose) in time to save the city yet again in the upcoming sequel.

This clip also shows off Hardy returning once again to his incredibly elastic performance as both Eddie and the voice of Venom, essentially arguing with himself. The talented actor pulls off the role in a way that would make voice acting legend Bruce Campbell very jealous. Given that Tom Hardy has a story credit on Venom: Let There Be Carnage, it's possible that he has insisted on putting himself into even more ridiculous and challenging acting situations in the upcoming film. Whoever is behind the decision, however, these entertaining scenes are sure to delight audiences who love Hardy's sometimes unhinged style.
