Sony unveils a new Venom: Let There Be Carnage behind-the-scenes video showing Carnage concept art and the visual-effects creation of the villainous symbiote. Woody Harrelson made his Sony's Spider-Man Universe debut in 2018's Venom as serial killer Cletus Kasady in the film's post-credits, setting him up as the villain for the sequel. Harrelson reprised the role for Venom: Let There Be Carnage as he consumes some of Eddie Brock's blood and becomes the host to the dangerous titular symbiote.

Alongside Harrelson, Venom: Let There Be Carnage marked the returns of Tom Hardy as Eddie/Venom, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott and Peggy Liu. The sequel also marked the introductions of Naomie Harris as fellow antagonist Frances Barrison, better known as Shriek, and Stephen Graham as San Francisco police detective Patrick Mulligan. Following multiple delays in its release due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Venom: Let There Be Carnage finally hit theaters in October to mixed reviews from critics, though generally better than its predecessor, and audiences are gearing up for the film's forthcoming home release.

In time for the film's VOD release, Sony Pictures has released a new Venom: Let There Be Carnage BTS video. While the first Venom left both critics and audiences wary about what the future could hold for the still-burgeoning SSU, Venom: Let There Be Carnage had many hopeful things could turn around with the addition of its titular antagonist into the main story. Though many were still left feeling hesitant upon leaving the theater, namely in the lack of proper screen time for Harrelson's Carnage in comparison to Hardy's titular duo. Carnage's design was generally praised by those on either side of the spectrum, however, as it faithfully recreated his comic design and established him as a terrifying foe for Eddie and Venom.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage makes for an important second chapter in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, not only turning the critical tide on the films but also assuring its place as financially viable as it became only the second 2021 movie to cross the $200 million mark at the domestic box office and the seventh highest-grossing film of the year. The film also began building the bridge between the SSU and Marvel Cinematic Universe with its game-changing post-credits sequence, leaving many excited to see how the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home and Morbius continue to merge the worlds together. The wait for Venom: Let There Be Carnage's Blu-ray release is nearly over as the film hits shelves on December 14.
