Sony reveals the Venom: Let There Be Carnage Blu-ray release and its roster of exciting special features including six deleted scenes and a Carnage behind-the-scenes featurette. The second installment in Sony's Spider-Man Universe picks up a year after the events of 2018's Venom as Eddie Brock attempts to adjust to life as the host for the titular alien symbiote. When interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady leads to him becoming the host of the deadly Venom spawn Carnage, Eddie must find a way to put his murderous rampage to a stop before it's too late.

Tom Hardy returns to lead the cast of Venom: Let There Be Carnage alongside Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham and Woody Harrelson as Cletus/Carnage, reprising his role from the post-credits of the first film. After multiple shifts in its release schedule due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the film finally hit theaters in October to generally improved reviews and a solid box office haul, grossing over $442 million worldwide against its $110 million budget. Sony now has exciting news for those eager to revisit Venom: Let There Be Carnage or finally give it a watch after electing to hold off on seeing it in theaters.

The inclusion of six deleted scenes on Venom: Let There Be Carnage's Blu-ray is sure to create a point of curiosity for audiences. Sony recently released an extended version of the beach scene near the end of the film, which featured more comedic banter between Eddie and Venom in anticipation of the film's arrival on digital platforms. With director Andy Serkis and Hardy working to infuse a more humorous element into the film, it's likely the other deleted scenes could see more extended banter between the two as well as potentially more rampage from Harrelson's titular antagonist.

Though Venom: Let There Be Carnage may have fallen short of a "Fresh" approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the film's improved reviews from critics and audiences alike does point towards a promising future for Sony's Spider-Man Universe. With the post-credits also establishing an exciting crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the ball is only just getting rolling on Hardy's superhero career. The wait for Venom: Let There Be Carnage's return is nearly over as the sequel arrives on VOD on November 23 followed by hitting shelves on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on December 14.
