Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Joker #13

In the latest issue of DC Comics' Joker, the daughter of Bane proves she's just as strong as her father (and may even be more brutal). The worldwide manhunt for the Clown Prince of Crime seems to be coming to an end, even though so many players still want a piece of the Joker following the Joker War and the subsequent destruction of Arkham Asylum. This includes Vengeance, the dark clone of Bane who was literally bred to kill the Joker no matter what obstacles are in her path.

In previous issues of Joker, Jim Gordon is hired by mysterious clients to kill the Joker (eventually revealed to be the Court of Owls). However, other parties have been looking to kill the Joker as well such as the powerful Sampson Family and the connected criminal organization known as the Network. This also includes Vengeance, the female clone of Bane created by the Network and the government of Santa Prisca to specifically murder the Joker. However, Vengeance decides that she wants her hate for the Clown Prince of Crime to be genuine rather than programmed. As such, she has Jim Gordon tell her why he hates the Joker and all the pain the supervillain has caused him and his family over the years.

Now, Joker #13 from James Tynion IV and Guiseppe Camuncoli sees the Joker in the hands of the Sampson Family. Angered that one of their family members was killed during A-Day, the cannibalistic Sampsons are actually preparing to eat Joker as revenge (even though Batman's arch-foe was framed). However, Vengeance won't be stopped from achieving her namesake. While the Sampsons try to keep her from Joker, Bane's daughter does the unthinkable with her intense strength by decapitating one of the cannibals with an uppercut, naturally leaving the family in shock.

Following this insane display of strength, it's clear Vengeance isn't playing around when it comes to getting her hands on Joker. Considering Bane's own proven strength (such as when he broke Batman's back), Vengeance and her father may be evenly matched. However, decapitation-by-uppercut is an extremely brutal way to kill someone. Bane could likely achieve the same feat, though it's doubtful he carries the same unbridled rage and fury his daughter does with her youth and lack of restraint. While Bane is more focused and refined, Vengeance may indeed be the more brutal one between the two of them.

Regardless, this penultimate issue of Joker does see Bane himself stopping his daughter from delivering the killing blow to the Joker, indicating that the bigger conspiracy behind the hunt for Clown Prince will finally be revealed (including Bane faking his death during A-Day). As such, a battle of Banes could be in the cards with a brawl over Joker's fate. Either way, Joker will soon be concluding from DC Comics when the final issue releases in April.
