Velma is one of the characters in the game that is from Scooby-Dooand is well worth the time to get one of three currencies to unlock her. Those who are comfortable playing a support and zoning role will find Velma to be a perfect character.

Velma can be unlocked immediately if players get 700 Gleamium in MultiVersus. Gleamium is the premium currency of the free-to-play game, which does mean that players will have to spend real money in order to unlock her so quickly. Alternatively, those who have already purchased a Founder's Pack can use the character ticket that came with its rewards. Each fighter in MultiVersus only requires one character ticket to be spent on them before they are unlocked. Lastly, Velma can also be unlocked via Gold, which is a free-to-earn in-game currency. Gold is rewarded at the end of each match, with an increased amount awarded to those who played more matches and won. As one of the best Support characters in MultiVersus, Velma's signature move is her neutral special Motivational Speaker. This attack simultaneously allows Velma to damage opponents with a projectile beam as she heals any ally within its vicinity. Additionally, if the final hit of the attack lands on an ally, another beam will be fired from the teammate. If Velma's final Motivational Speaker hit lands on a foe, then it will weaken them, and the attack also has a chance to spawn evidence on a hit. Motivational Speaker also has the same features when Velma uses it in the air, which is one of the reasons why this attack is a staple of her Support strategy.
