It's been two years since the Vanderpump Rules cast members have filmed together, and with so many life events that have taken place since, there will be plenty of changes for season 9. Shortly after the season 8 reunion, four cast members were ousted due to their racially insensitive actions. By December, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced their exit from the show - which was a few months before Dayna Kathan left after one season.

With all of these Vanderpump Rules cast switch-ups, the fans have been wary about what to expect from the upcoming season 9. To make matters worse, the COVID-19 pandemic has also forced Lisa Vanderupmp to close the doors on all of her Los Angeles restaurants. But with restrictions easing and restaurants slowly reopening, the team at SUR are expected to return to the Bravo airwaves. Aside from all the cast exits and closed-up venues, there have been new additions to the cast that could make up for all the lost faces. Lala Kent and Scheana Shay are among the remaining cast members, and they've recently welcomed newborns to the world.

As a new mom, the fans will get to see a completely different side of Lala Kent after she spent years bragging about her sex skills and flying in Randall Emmett's private jets. Now, the married mother of one is teasing all the changes that viewers can expect in the new season. “So many people have asked what can we expect this season and this is the first year that I can say I have no idea,” Lala told Page Six, before touching on all the cast member exits. “A lot of time has passed, cast members who were key players that are no longer on the show and there has been a lot of things that have said and happened in the two-year period and now we’re getting together where we have to talk about these things," she explained.

Lala Kent noted that she's “still good at my job!" in reference to Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni all being fired last June. Bravo moved swiftly in issuing out the pink slips amid heightened racial tension during the Black Lives Matter movement. With Stassi and Kristen being fired for calling the cops on Faith Stowers, and Max and Brett's old racist tweets resurfacing, the network moved fast in removing them from the show. In addition, Max most recently quit his job at TomTom over certain issues. As a result, Lala is still clueless on what to expect when they return to filming.

Alas, Lala adds that the new babies will help ease any underlying tension. “I don’t know what to expect, there are mommies now, babies in the mix,” she said. “I will say that it’s going to be a different show but I think it’s going to be extremely entertaining.” All things considered, the Vanderpump Rules fans are anticipating the show's return. The cast reportedly resumed filming this past week.
