Scheana Shay revealed she and Brock are considering surrogacy for their second child, due to complications the Vanderpump Rules star had while in labor with her first child. The reality star announced her pregnancy during what seemed to be a Vanderpump Rules baby boom. Her co-star Lala Kent, and former co-stars Stassi Schroder and Brittany Cartwright, all announced their pregnancies around the same time. This pregnancy came shortly after she announced she experienced a miscarriage. Her rainbow baby Summer Moon Honey Davies was born in April and was the third girl born in the baby boom. Lala and Stassi also had daughters, with Brittany being the only one to have a boy. The birth of their kids prompted them to put their differences aside and brought all of them together.
Fans of the show will remember Scheana's rough road to finding happiness in a relationship, which is why they were so happy to hear she found her person. Some of that excitement was squashed when it was revealed he has two kids in Australia he hasn't seen in four years. Matters were made worse when he told Lala his ex-wife filed a restraining order and a domestic violence claim against him. In concern for her friend, Lala brought this news to the group, receiving backlash from both Scheana and Brock. Scheana claims she knew about all of this prior to starting a family with him, and that she didn't appreciate Lala putting it out there for the world to judge them.
Scheana revealed her plans to have her second baby via surrogacy. As reported by Reality Blurb, Scheana and Brock have been considering surrogacy since the birth of their daughter. Scheana explained her decision by saying she experienced health complications during and after labor. She claims to have had preeclampsia which developed into HELP syndrome for which she was sent to the ICU. Since she had this experience the first time, and since she is older, she is automatically considered a high risk pregnancy. Out of an abundance of concern for her daughter, Scheana is choosing to go with surrogacy for her second child and not put her health at risk unnecessarily. She opened up about her decision in an effort to combat rumors she is moving in this direction in order to preserve her body, or any other cosmetic or selfish reasons.
Scheana also told fans she has already picked out her second child's name and that it works for either a boy or a girl. She also said it fits the theme of Summer's name, suggesting it is something seasonal, much like Brock's other daughter's name Winter. In regards to whether or not Brock's children have seen him on the show, Brock claims he doesn't even know if they know he is on a show. He did, however, sound hopeful that they will reunite soon and even hinted at a possible spinoff with him and Scheana in Australia. Brock also claimed he is very excited for his two older kids to meet Scheana and Summer.
While Brock is hopeful for a better future featuring Scheana, fans can't help but wonder whether or not the two will actually last. They have seen the Vanderpump Rules star's relationships play out on camera before, and have watched Scheana fall fast in love while ignoring red flags many times. It will be interesting to see if their relationship lasts, or if Lala's concerns surrounding Brock's past prove true and the couple ends up calling it off.
