Vanderpump Rules is returning to Bravo, and Scheana Shay's fiancé will be the source of this season's drama. After many ups and downs in her dating life, Scheana finally found love with personal trainer Brock Davies. The 36-year-old reality star married Mike Shay in front of the Bravo cameras in 2014, but fans watched as their relationship unfolded, unfortunately ending with a divorce two years later. Shortly after her heartbreak, Scheana publicly reconnected with her ex Robert Valletta and Bachelorette alum Robby Hayes. Unsure if she'd ever find love, Scheana decided to freeze her eggs so pregnancy could still be an option later on in life. Much to the couple's surprise, Scheana became pregnant with a baby girl and got engaged three months after their daughter, Summer Moon Honey, was born.

Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules was a bit up in the air as original cast members such as Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and Jax Taylor (and wife Brittany Cartwright) were fired from the popular reality series. In addition, the majority of the women who usually create drama during drunk nights out were pregnant during the months of filming and therefore unable to participate in the typical partying lifestyle that the show's viewers have become accustomed to. But with new faces, new relationships and new babies, the Vanderpump Rules cast is sure to bring the drama Bravo fans crave.

In a new Us Weekly interview with Lisa Vanderpump, the SUR boss promised there won't be a lack of drama now that Brock is involved. "Is Brock the one? Only Scheana will find out that, but it definitely got a little complicated there, and a few people had a lot of opinions, and they weren't afraid to verbalize them," Lisa said. "He is very much loved, but it wasn't a smooth journey." Lisa continued to explain that Brock's behavior will surprise fans and revealed that his relationship with Scheana "is a little eye-opening."

At the end of the day, Lisa watched Scheana struggle to find everlasting love, and "hopes" Brock is endgame for her longtime employee. "Their relationship does play out on Vanderpump Rules this season. Vanderpump Rules definitely felt [like] it was a different energy, but it did [still] feel as complicated and as intense, but because they were grown up, it seems like there were slightly more in-depth issues rather than somebody saying, 'it's my birthday,'" Lisa said. "It's the kind of show that you could actually shoot all year round because where you have a group of people so inextricably entwined with very different opinions and also provocative characters that liked to express their opinions, things often get complicated. It's a great season, and it's coming back very soon."

While Bravo fans will have to wait for a Vanderpump Rules season 9 release date and trailer, they can get hyped to finally learn about the mysterious man Scheana posts with every day. It'll also be interesting to see how each cast member dealt with the pandemic and the consequential lockdowns, and their opinions of it all. Lisa didn't mention if the new season will address the firings of beloved former cast members, but one can only hope producers clear the air at the beginning of the new season.
