Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy from Vanderpump Rules have been handling their very public split pretty amicably, but Raquel seemingly shaded James recently by throwing an “unengagement party.” The former couple met back in 2016 at a party while James was working as a DJ. James introduced Raquel to his Vanderpump Rules world, and soon enough, Raquel started working as a waitress at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR. James’ friends welcomed Raquel with open arms due to her sweet personality and loving nature.
The couple faced many bumps throughout their relationship, such as dealing with James’ sobriety journey and his quick temper. However, fans thought they would find their happy ending when James proposed to Raquel on the show in a lavish surprise event. Raquel tearfully accepted and they celebrated the occasion by throwing a beautiful engagement party surrounded by family and friends. Soon afterward, news broke that Raquel had broken things off with James and fans witnessed Raquel handing back her engagement ring to James on the Vanderpump Rules season 9 reunion.

On the other hand, Raquel recently posted on Instagram a picture of her sipping on a p*nis straw with the caption “P*nis straws ftw” alongside the hashtag “unengagement party.” Viewers knew that she was referring to James’ previous criticism about how he didn’t want Raquel to have “cheesy” props for her bachelorette party such as p*nis straws, so it looked like Raquel was taking a subtle dig at her ex-fiancé.
Recently, James shared an Instagram Story of him going to an art exhibit two months after his and Raquel’s break-up. Fans saw a glimpse of James holding a mystery woman’s hand and wondered if he had already moved on. The Vanderpump Rules cast seems to be rallying around Raquel as fellow star Scheana Shay shared an Instagram post of Raquel popping a balloon shaped like an engagement ring during her "unengagement party."
Since the breakup, Raquel has been focusing on self-love and speaking up for herself. She has admitted that she has self-esteem issues and wants to get to a place where she’s comfortable in her own skin. Part of her journey is studying to become an occupational therapist to help kids with disabilities. Fans, along with Andy Cohen, have praised Raquel for her kind heart and they can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
